In this Video Dr. Karthikeyan from Denta Kings Dental Implant Centre, Madipakkam, Chennai is explaining about the importance of Upper Wisdom Tooth Extraction. Many people will think that their Upper Wisdom Tooth is not giving any problem so there is no need to extract it. But if you visit your dentist with Lower Wisdom Tooth Pain he/she will suggest to extract both Lower and Upper Wisdom Tooth. The reason for this is, after the Problematic Lower Wisdom Tooth Extraction there would be an empty space created in that area. And day by day slowly the Upper Wisdom tooth will come down and start to hurt the lower gum. This will create gum inflammation. Also when the Upper Wisdom Tooth comes Down it breaks the contact with the adjacent tooth and this will create a gap between these teeth where food particles will accumulate and cause tooth decay. Finally this leads to extraction of both Upper wisdom tooth and decayed adjacent tooth. That's why dentist always recommends to extract Upper Wisdom Tooth along with Lower Wisdom Tooth.
