On that quote- there's a technique in war where any superior technology one side manages to get their hands on ends up becoming their advantage as they learn how it works and integrate it into their tactics. It's called reverse engineering. And with monsters, the same principle applies. Don't be like them, fight them with their own weapons and be better than them.

@@nikolas8741 True, if they have a weapon that can blow up a sun within weeks we'd be dead if we didn't have efficiently fast space travel to try and stop whatever their method is. A teleporting space-ship that funnels the materials of a planet into a massive rail gun shooting particles of metal and other substances into the combustion layers to disrupt the fusion cycle and cause a supernova- that'd kill everything and turn the planet to dust. Hell if they just knew how to incite a strong enough solar flare they could burn everything off the surface of the planet within hours.
