I have a waste not storm deck and I was going bananas when I saw that exact play.

The plan was to T2 wheel regardless, I however did not draw another source for mox thus I had to either make the decision to try and wheel T3 and Tibalt t4 or go for the wheel T2 and possibly draw more to Tibalt on T2 off the vault. I felt that a T3 wheel would of probably gotten countered and I needed to come back from the mull

I was thinking the same thing but figured since he was playing Rakdos that the Waste Not would have been too televised and would have sueded the blue players to counter the wheel setting him back. Looking back at his opening hand, the Mox couldn't have imprinted anything else, resulting in him also losing value.

I know this is a late reply but I play vs Aaron and Bailey regularly and they always have multiple points of removal so just caution/traumatic experiences also this was kinda late into the con so I was exhausted and just making bad play/decisions.

He is not escaping spells with Underworld Breach, he is casting them from his hand. Every time he casts one of them, Displacer Kitten triggers and flickers Eternal Witness to return the other one to his hand

there's also Turn the Earth, which is more flexible since you can save yourself *and* get things out of your opponents' graveyards at the same time. costs 1 more to flash back but 1 less to cast initially. Plus they can't REB it!

Yup, here's the ruling for clarification 800.4i If a player leaves the game during their turn, that turn continues to its completion without an active player. If the active player would receive priority, instead the next player in turn order receives priority, or the top object on the stack resolves, or the phase or step ends, whichever is appropriate.

The copy knows what was sacrificed because the original knows what was sacrificed.

When a spell or ability is copied, the copy gets all of its information from the original: modes chosen, value of X, and so on. Even the chosen targets are supposed to be the same, which is why most spell/ability-copying effects say "you may choose new targets for the copy." Therefore, if Neoform is copied, the copy will use the mana value of the creature sacrificed for the original.

Why?

The fact that the most played of them are pure "value" (thrasios, thymna etc) AND by having two of them means you start with "9" card in hand

You get 2 commanders instead of 1. Makes it easier to manipulate your deck’s color identity.

At the very worst, the extra commander adds to your deck's color identity, which expands your card options. It also means an extra card you'll always have access to with no penalties, which is deceptively powerful (there's a reason why companion was nerfed and Lutri was banned in EDH).

@@DarkEinherjar plus while its not incredibly relevant your starting library is 98 instead of 99 so you *technically* have a better chance of drawing the cards you need

It gives you a 9-card opening hand, it gives you strong value engines and/or infinite mana outlets in the command zone.

I did not have another card unfortunately I had land and was on a mull to 5. To keep up I needed to wheel on T2 regardless. I drew waste not as my only other source for mox. Unfortunately it was rough beats but the possibility of a T2 tibalt off the wheel was more advantages than televising the waste not into wheel against 3 blue players

He couldn't win after consulting to stop me and exiling his win cons, he was on beat down blue farm unfortunately and so he had to play that way.

It has to do with your identity and letting other people know what you pronouns are as with some people it can be confusing as to which pronouns to use for said person. A good example in the video is the person Bailey which can be viewed as a gender neutral name, Which helps identify their gender. Its mostly started once more transgender people appeared as a way to not confuse people as to what pronouns you should use for them.

@@TCG9777 it can be really painful when a transgender person is misgendered so many started announcing their pronouns so people used the right ones. but when only transgender people announced their pronouns it immediately notified everyone else that they were trans, and that too can be uncomfortable--many people just want to live their life, not be misgendered, but also not have their gender identity be the focus, for instance, mb they're just trying to play magic and not be misgendered. cisgender people then started also announcing their pronouns so that it was less alienating for transgender people to announce theirs. As for why "representation a necessity for people there?" The US is a democracy, representation always matters. Or am i misunderstanding your question?

@@hardiewolder1965 It's a way for cis people to show support to queer! By putting their pronouns there, they're normalizing the usage of them and so people who use different pronouns can feel more safe to use their pronouns as well. Respecting everyone pronouns in the speech is necessary, but putting them on screen is a way of encouraging queer people and tell them that they're in a safe place

@@JK-gm3ej I see your point, but it’s not mandatory. When you show support for something what you’re saying is “it’s okay for you to share this to me”, you’re not imposing this to them. Having the pronouns there is just a way of normalizing so people who already worked on this on their lives can be safe to share. It’s a “if you’re comfortable to share I’m supporting you” not a “I’m sharing this so you also have to share”

@@Magnivore519 More decks like Valki. I like decks lead by a single commander because they tend to be a bit more unique. I like seeing interesting strategies and unique win conditions, rather than everyone trying to win through Thoracle or Breach lines.
