I love how actively interested Rae was with the animals, especially the indoor ones. I really liked that she asked questions about them instead of just letting Maya tell her the information. Also so nice seeing Maya share her passion and Rae matching her energy back with even more passion

I love when the guests are so down to touch all the animals with little to no fear. Obviously there’s gonna be ones that have preexisting concerns, which is completely fair; but seeing guests come into it so open minded to everything at alveus is so cool.

I don't fully blame the guests that are afraid or not vibing, kids who grow up in cities are insanely removed from anything natural and grow up to be exactly that as an adult and even worse, phobias of insects and such.

I am not good with spiders but if a host like Maya is handing it to me, they feel its safe and they are way more knowledgeable so I would do my best to bear it. Rae took it a step further though and really looked for the good parts of all the animals.

Honestly I prefer these one on one collabs so much more cause it's more animal focused and less chaotic. When there's multiple streamers, it's often overshadowing all the animal facts and important info cause everyone is trying to be funny and fighting for screentime. These 1v1 are so much better in terms of education and Rae is a perfect guest really, I enjoyed watching her being excited and interested but also so respectful towards animals!

yup too many egos in one room. Egos arent bad but its hard to focus on a cause when they are naturally trying to compete for screentime. One on One is definitely the way to go for something like this.

bro so many of these collabs during this week of speedrunning collabs have been bit by the animals like Kimi and janet both got nipped by either the parrots or the one marmosets who have teeth LOL

@@marsjade-rr6sv But thats not true for the Macaws! A little nibble from Mia or Appa is something different than getting bitten by Miley. It is always a calculated risk with the Marmosets for example since that doesn't leave a big mark... but the Macaws are quite snappy and their bite is really strong.

This is fantastic and to add to Rae’s centipede story I had a earwig in my ear in high school. I was sleeping on the carpeted floor in my basement at the time and woke up with the worst ear pain ever. She described it better that I did but it sounds like amplified and feels like water in your ear. I had to flush it out with water to get it out of my ear. The hissing cockroaches are good feeders for lizards or anything without fangs. But we kept them for trantula feeders and they have a hard spot at what we would call the base of skull. Its hard enough to break a trantula fang

A wolfdog sanctuary near me had worked out a deal with the province to receive roadkill after they had removed it from the highway. Not sure if something similar would be possible in Texas, but it is a good way to deal with two problems at once in my opinion.
