Capture the enemy camps to save the Centurion and secure an escape route. Detonate ragna-crates to destroy the archways around the city.

There is a very high chance the Glory will explode. Shockingly so did mine as a result I skipped killing all the tanks. The spare CP is enough to do so. Laurent kills the south one (hop both sandbags), Hafen the west and Glory the east.

Thanks mate. Nailing all the tanks as well is more impressive but I can never get guys blown out of cover with grenades reliably.

i did 3 turns, on my first try.. But yeah i had to do a lot of Save and reLoad cuz i kept missing my shots lol.

Hafen kept being exploded before my first turn all the time in my case, so I had to make some adaptations. In case anyone else needs it: I left the south camp for last. You should capture the other 4 in the normal order with at least 2 Command Points remaining. If you weren't unlucky enough to have Glory destroyed too, you can use its mortar to give part of the damage needed without the Order. But aim it a little to the left of the Scout, making sure that he doesn't end up falling right behind the truck, in case he would kill your own Scout before you get close enough to throw the grenade, because the OP is just enough to get there. I think you can do in any order, actually. I prefered that way because I could save the game letting this for last.

Good video. Very helpful for a really unfair mission. I went through a couple to get this good one. Someone had one using post game weapons and I was wondering why my snipers couldn't one-shot the tanks.

Many would have the Gautt R at this point. It's a bonus weapon drop some chapters can give it. That said you don't need it here for an all tank clear.

I like the game in all but I think having killed bosses respawn on your turn after being killed on theirs is a very lame game mechanic. I killed Chiara on the enemy first turn and she respawned at her base when I was trying to capture it. Smh... this game. Lol

@@Kyorisu ooh, so that's what Resistance does. I always thought it was to nullify "slow" or "tread damage" from mortars so I didn't bother to get any parts for it

Same, I had to restart the stage like 20 times until the RNG gods allowed me to live on both the APC and my tank

The Hafen keeps getting destroyed for me on their round so I can't do any orders with him gone. Is there another way to do it or can you explain how your tank was able to survive getting hit int he back like that?

I used a scout because scout but you'll note that uses 2CP to accomplish (actually possible in one CP without the order if RNGesus is on your side). Use another shocktrooper instead and the same 2CP to go down to the south camp. Flame the guys and cap.

Oh man, your strategy is bold and effective. Precocious Turtle's guide forces us to depend on killing Chiara (extremely difficult even with save scumming). I managed to salvage the best of a very suboptimal situation even when I did not have scouts in the main camp. Thank you once more for another guide that doesn't depend on RNG to work!

I'm gonna try this tactic. I'm sure my game messed up as the 3 times I attempted it the tanks all came out and mortared my position, killed everyone thanks to the blast damage

Edelweiss cannot take the hit either if u use it instead of the Glory. First time around the tank missed it so I did get to take out the three tanks (Welkin/Ronald needs 2 actions for theirs it seems), but did it again just to see if Edelweiss was hardier than the Glory. Appears not, which makes sense as both of them are medium tanks with equal hit points and the Hafen is a heavier-built medium tank with 500 more HP on my game (3100 vs 3600). I had read Edleweiss used the same upgrades as the Hafen but that does not seem the case, as Hafen's insane resistance did not seem to come in play. Just some interesting FYI for all. Also Chiara can retreat south instead of east, which made Azusa subject to some fire from her if so.

I've had the hafen survive a direct hit but you need loads of crit defence.

I gotta ask, I've been trying this strat for a while and I noticed something odd. What lvl is your Shocktroopers? and How does Ryan have so much AP? I don't have Ryan high enough to make him a leader but I've tried with Raiga, Vancy, and the Red head from Squad 7 and I can't seem to take the left two bases in the turns you can. I always run out of AP a turn before getting to the Leader enemy lancer

Level 20 and Ryan needs the service boots to make the movements. The movement being tight is only an issue if you want to get all the tanks as well.

I call bull the first time I tried this level (it was before watching this) both my tanks died and so did two of my infantry units and that was before i even got a turn! Your RNG man got dam I wish I had that good of a RNG lol!

I don't think I ever lost both tanks. You should have enough upgrades installed onto Hafen to survive pretty much anything. Of course you don't know that you need to do so when you first try the level.

Man, this mission sucks SO much, you basically have to rely on so much RNG for your tanks to even survive the first round, and you can't even save it before the round starts so you have to restart all the way back from book mode every time =(

@@Kyorisu Ahh I got it, I used the Edelweiss (from the squad 7 dlc) instead of the Glory, it's kinda got a lower profile radiator, so it's a little harder to hit. And I sunk all my tank upgrades on the Hafen into radiator defence, i took a hit and survived (unless that was just a body shot and i just got lucky) lol

Not fair, he used F-5 Grenade that gets unlocked only after beating this mission.

I don't have a save to quickly verify if that's the case or not but you can also just use two moves on a shocktrooper to achieve the same thing with the same CP. Although with grenade boost I doubt the difference in damage actually matters. /edit I have a save on chapter 16 which has the F4 so I would believe you do have F5s on chapter 17.
