HD remaster for this, would be great.

Goddamn looking back on this nearly a decade later, this game still has mind blowing camera works for these soul crushes. It really sells the drama and impact of everyone's attack.

Why they don't do special moves like these no more is my question. The dialogue in them and the combos and explosiveness is awesome.

The fact Lezard basically gives away his whole plan in the Animate Earth cast is just.... A+++

Games are missing these amazing special moves. VP2 really hit this perfectly. They really knew how to create exciting battles. And it is not just one way, bosses as well can do the same. I know some games still do it, but they cannot compete on the same level. The camera angles, the soundtracks. The dialogue, collisions, etc. VP2 knew how to bring a battle to its peak. The graphics/art style as well was pretty good, just everything was magnificently done. You can clearly experience the passion of the game. Unlike many of them nowadays, where it lacks a soul for some words I suppose I can say. Another thing to add on, is that. These days, people want things fast. Not taking the time to appreciate the art. Then they go onto complaining, when they got what they paid for. You can’t have it both ways. VP 2 had a lot of passion in it, this was a work of art. Sure, had some rough edges, but it aged incredibly well. Still to this day, I would play it again no problem.

Lenneth forever! She'll always be the ultimate badass Valkyrie to me. I sure hope we see Valkyrie Profile: Hrist soon.

The level of detail in the character designs, animations, and finish strikes is sublime!. VP 1 and 2 just amaze me.

I still can't believe they left out Celestial Star. That was the signature mage soul crush in the original game!

lezard's voice and lenneth's was just unforgettable, specially since lezard's old maniac voice got replaced by an epic one and lenneth's sounded more like a goddess :)

Awesome game, I really liked tri-ace's stuff, hearing the plot actually made it worth the grind. This and SO3 were probably the best rpgs for PS2 imo.

I really loved this game, can't wait to find my Ps2 again. Great graphics, great story-- GREAT character interactions with excellent replayability, good combat and most suprisingly of all, great character development. Seriously, she turns from a standard sad princess to a badass valkyrie-- and she's so cute too. I'd nibelung her valesti anytime. Also Seraphic Gate was fun as hell.

Almost fifteen years now and still no VP3 :') Yeah, I know it has a kinda-sequel called "Covenant of the Plume" but that's not what I'm looking for.

The delivery on some of the voices just gets me all pumped. And even though theres, like, 8 different versions of Nibelung Valesti I enjoyed watching them all.

Maaan, I still remember playing this game. The graphic were one of the best out there. Instead of making my character really strong, I equipped all survival skills so that my characters can't die. 😂 One boss battle in Seraphic Gate lasted about 45 minutes and my characters rarely died. 😂

VP2 brings back extremely fond memories. but alas, my PS2 barely works anymore :(. Even after witnessing these soul crush animations so many times, they still impress and amaze me as they always had, even by today's gaming standards. Everything about this game is epic.

Still have this for the PS2. Fantastic game! How are you able to deal so much damage to the enemies though? My characters' Soul Crushes were never that strong.

Alicia might be a whiny little girl, but credit where credit is due. She is the first person, EVER, to make Lezard lose his cool.

These soul crushes reminds me of the mystic artes used in the Tale series. I hate to admit it but these animation looks better then the artes in Tales.

Get to the last save point in the final dungeon, save, and then exit out of the dungeon. The Seraphic Gate will become available on the map.

Lezard's quotes and spells are sick :) Everything about Freya is just crazy though. You can actually solo pretty much everything Just with her, crazy broad.

I don't know why, but I always get pumped when I hear one of Lezard's soul crushes (except Pale Flare, that one has weird mixing). I will always miss the great Maddie Blaustein, but Liam O'Brien makes one HELL of a Lezard.

The graphics, the music, the characters, the hot girls with fragile faces, the story, the interactivity, the gameplay, the emotion, this game is so magic that makes you think like you actually live it. What the fuck Square, you ruined Final Fantasy, please don't ruin Valkirie Profile, keep up the good work and forget about pure capitalism.

Dude no matter what, if a tri-ace +Square enix collaboration game releases, it WILL kick major ass regardless. I don't know how they do it but every game they have released (minus infinite undiscovery) has been like a super duper major hit!! I reccomend all jrpg lovers to check out tri-ace+square enix games, they will never dissapoint.
