Just watched this in glorious HD on the TV. Brought tears to my eyes! What a fantastic place. Just shows what I have missed on my previous trips. Might make this my base next time out, depending on hotel vacancies.

Spent many a happy day in Valldemossa. Unbelievable place. Stunning in winter and the cafe Ca’n Molinas is absolutely amazing the garden they have is my favourite cafe spot on the island…..

Valldemossa looks amazing. A lot prettier / classier than the other busier coastal resorts. By the way, for years I thought Chopin was gay because I kept hearing the name of his lover ie George. Only recently did I find out that George is female : ) Enjoy the unusually good weather in the UK

Hahaha, Ross brilliant!!! Tell you what though, they certainly caused some scandal in their day! Not sure the 1800s Valldemossa were ready for their visit! It is so lovely there, they've really managed to preserve the town's charm. It is a step back in time (bit less scandal though!)

I didn’t think I’d ever visit a village as amazing as Valldemossa but then I visited Fornalutx and I think that’s the most beautiful village I’ve ever seen….

This is on my Must Visit list, should I to get to go to Mallorca in 2026. I could hire a bike in Soller and go for a long ride, to include Valldemossa amongst others

Hi Andrew - yes all ages groups do live here but it is probably more Mallorquín language wise than some other areas in the island.

Is it worth it to visit ? I am going to Mallorca in September and I am looking for trips outside like Valdemossa or Soller Is it easy travel by train from Mallorca to these places? I want to see where Frédéric Chopin lives in Valdemossa

Thank you !! I would say the best time to get there is just before 10 when shops start to open. You'll then beat the crowds!

I am going to Soller (Hotel Gran Soller) next week Alex - your videos have been so helpful. I am thinking of going to the Valldemosa Fiesta - but - I made a special trip to San Joan in Ciutedella Menorca 2 years ago only to become allergic to horses. Are there likely to be a large number of horses?

Oh wow, what a way to discover an allergy! I'm not sure if the fiestas will take place to be honest in Valldemossa, as they normally would. With rising covid cases, I somehow doubt it. But I wouldn't like to say for sure... Have a fantastic time in the Gran Hotel - great location and the staff are really lovely, which honestly in my opinion can make or break a holiday!

Avoid during peak season - it’s an area I avoid tbh due to the amount of people that now flock here . I would personally avoid as there are a million other places to see the sunset here
