Material found in Parque Ecológico Municipal (La Plata, Buenos Aires). I've been reviewing the first twenty minutes of the footage almost frame by frame these last few months to avoid the risk of uploading something potentially illegal (I've seen things appear and disappear in various parts of the video and had to review the entire thing to make sure). As far as I know, everything is relatively normal, but I have to clarify:
/// This video is NOT for suitable for children ///
Despite seeming so, because apparently it's a game for kids, (In fact, I thought it was the first time I saw it) but there are things that don't add up.
I will upload the rest once I properly review it. If, by any chance, you have some information about this game (Or the tape itself) please, write it down in the comments.

How can abortion symbolism be akin to lust? I thought strong desire is lust.
@Siggy313
@Siggy313 Жыл бұрын
@@NiGHTS4life Simply put, lust would be a strong sexual desire. Not the desire to have children, not the desire to start a family, but a desire for sex. A common outcome of sex (without birth control) is pregnancy, and a common theme among zealots is the idea that one should not engage in sex without the intent to raise any resulting children. Abortion could, therefore, be viewed as an act only a sinfully lustful person would ever have performed on them. A person willing to have sex, but unwilling to deal with the possible ramifications of such an act. It is worth mentioning, of course, that many abortions occur due to unforeseeable complications, or choices made outside of the control of the person who is seeking the abortion. One example of each of those parties, respectively: those with an ectopic pregnancy, or those who survive a sexual assault situation. Even something as conceptually simple as a torn condom could lead someone to an unwanted pregnancy, though some folks I have discussed this topic with would argue the breaking of the condom was an "Act of God" and thus seeking an abortion would be "killing a gift from God, granted only through his divine intervention in an attempt to give them an opportunity to repent from their act of lust." (exact quote) Obviously, the KZfaq comments section for a spooky game video is the wrong place to have an abortion morality debate, and that's not what I'm seeking here, nor am I trying to support either view on the issue. I'm merely trying to clarify how abortion could relate to the sin of lust. I hope this helped.
@real_surreal_sir
@real_surreal_sir Жыл бұрын
@NiGHTS4life I believe the insinuation would be unbridled lust can lead to unwanted pregnancies whether one is ready or not, so aborted and bleeding fetuses is a particularly macabre and morbid way to allude to it when if indirectly. This is especially with all the other Christian (by its most brutal interpretations mind you) subtexts all throughout

Here's a couple things I've noticed / I'd like to point out while I skimmed through this video from back to back: - [15:32] The words that show up around the "portal" read "Liberté, égalité, fraternité", which is the national motto of France - [16:26] The display message is shown to be written on 5 different languages: English, Italian, German, Spanish, and a fifth one [which I honestly don't know the name of ^_^; if it exists, that is]. We know from 0:36 that the game is only available on the first four languages, so it is unknown why the message is displayed on a fifth language. - [17:04] The name of this unseen character is "The Accuser". I read another comment on this comment section saying that this scene in particular is a reference to the sin of man and the Forbidden Fruit. Sometimes Lucifer is known as the "accuser angel". - [18:58] The song that plays in the background is called "Doblando el codo", a song by Angel Vargas / Orquesta Armando Lacava. No idea why the song is sometimes credited to one or both artists, but I am certainly sure its an Argentinian song. - [19:12] The sketchbook shows drawings made by Benjamín Solari Parravicini, an argentinian artist who was known for his prophetic drawings and his supposed psychic abilities to see future events. - [14:47] The "Statue of Liberty" that is briefly shown here is actually a 3D rendition of one of Parravicini's prophetic drawings from 1939, in which he predicted the fall of the World Trade Center that occured on September 11, 2001. I'll edit this comment documenting my findings [If I find any more ^_^]

That "5th" language looks a bit off... It's a sentence that's 6 words long, much more shorter than the other languages and it's not using Arabic numerals in it for the dates (assuming there is any dating, which based on a glance is entirely written out in this case - "22" and "1997" both have repeated numbers, and taking a closer look, the language doesn't repeat any characters in a row) which the other 4 languages do.

Something to note here is that Foxxo, Ito, and Dr. Neetow appear to be demonized by the "malfunctioning" AI whenever the AI modifies the game. Foxxo comes off as greedy with his solid gold statue in the introduction cutscene, but it looks like the AI exaggerated his greed to the point of Foxxo outright robbing the player after the beginning cutscene. I'm not sure how the AI warped Ito's personality's here, but the AI did change up his textures to become a *soulless husk* at 18:00 and they ask the player to collect "faces" for the carnival because "The Smiling" asked them to, so the AI probably saw some form of lust/greed in his passion for history and made him more demonic as a result. I don't see any characterization from Dr. Neetow either, but the AI probably found his obsession for robotics as lust, and maligned him thusly. Foxxo, Ito, and Dr. Neetow are also the only people seen at 14:57 to enter the hidden "alley" area that leads to the forest area that triggers a jumpscare that activates what's apparently the game over cutscene for whatever reason. And they're never seen again in either of those areas. Unless... At 15:45 there's a figure in the distance under one of the statues. At first I thought this might've been a sideways character in the ground, but using the < and > keys to navigate frame by frame I've concluded it might actually be a thing with two disconnected appendages just raising its right limb to move further... which leads into the ugly jumpscare monster at 16:20! Going frame by frame, you'll notice the ugly jumpscare monster actually has no body, just its face and their hands! So it COULD be that the jumpscare monster is that figure in the fog, but if it was, it'd have to be much larger. So maybe it's another character or there are multiple monster things of different sizes. Or maybe the jumpscare monsters are actually just Foxxo, Ito, and Dr. Neetow in a different form? Hard to say with just this beginning video for now... if what is hinted/suggested at during around 11:20 is true - (that there are people trapped inside the game and Matias is supposed to be able to move around in the world and view through his character's face) then that would suggest that there is also an mind inside foxxo and something was actually viewing through foxxo's eyes during the scene where foxxo's statue turned into a golden calf statue when not being viewed at directly.

there are also a quote of J Robert Oppenheimer about Bhagavat Gita at 9 minutes something, a poem Lovely Lady Dressed In Blue by Mary Dixon Thayer read by Archbishop Fulton Sheen. at 16:26, the date March 22, 1997 is the date when Hale-Bopp comet was the closest to the Earth. at 18:20, the untranslated text says "The Smiley asked me to collect 10 Faces for this Carnival". I googled "El Sonriente", found a Spanish creepypasta with the same name, but not much more. 20:39 the name of the character is "Est vir qui adest" - from wikipedia: quid est veritas What is truth? In the Vulgate translation of John 18:38, Pilate's question to Jesus (Greek: Τί ἐστιν ἀλήθεια;). A possible answer is an anagram of the phrase: est vir qui adest, "it is the man who is here."

If Valley is pronounced with a long E at the end, why would the Japanese version not end in an I (E) sound, rather than an E (A/Eh)? Its so interesting how Kazuya's house has shoes in front of it, especially since abandoned pairs of shoes in Japanese media often symbolize suicides/is a common trope for people to take their shoes often before ending their own lives. Actually, my first encounter with this trope was Aika Village from Animal Crossing, where its theorized the mother committed suicide by drowning with the red shoes found by the ocean, which is a coincidence since the aesthetic of the game is very much familiar with that of the Animal Crossing franchise. Plus if this game is trapping people in it, which it seems with Matias, than death could be seen as the only escape hence why the person committed suicide.
@cosmicandy4620
@cosmicandy4620 Жыл бұрын
it could be that, but its also could be referencing the fact japanese people dont wear shoes inside, they use slippers, for cleanliness. but they usually change inside the house by the front door, or bring the shoes in after changing, so considering its outside and visible your theory has a good chance to be true.

@@mysticalkeyblade759 If you have watched the whole video by this point, then the religious content will be more obvious (the first appearances are more metaphorical, or requires historical context to understand -- I would suggest reading some of the longer analysis comments, as they're more helpful in this regard). Essentially, there's a running theme of sin and guilt throughout the footage; several of the actions the player character takes suggest a type of spiritual uncleanliness. The ending (perhaps) brings redemption into the matter, as well. The presentation is highly abstract. All you need to understand Valle Verde's narrative is "something spooky is happening with this game involving unethical practices and spiritual intervention," but knowing the small references enhances one's understanding of it all.

The sound effect at 17:04 sounded familiar to me, and then I realized it's the same as the Something sound from Omori, which at first seemed odd because Omori is a newer game. But Omori actually isn't where the sound first came from, it's actually a preset in a soundfont... and the premade samples from that soundfont have been used in many games, most notably Spyro 2 in the song "Mystic Marsh," which is a PS1 game! So the sound effect is actually from a sound pack that is time period accurate for a PS1 game, because it was actually used in a _real_ PS1 game. Sorry that this is completely unrelated to like, the actual important stuff in the video. I just think the origins of sound effects are interesting.

@@the.seagull.35 I think he means that scene where Otis does funny poses behind a mailman while he is looking away, but when the mailman turns around, Otis immediately stands on all fours like a normal cow. Foxxo's statue stands on four legs only when its owner is facing away from it too. Honestly this is likely not intended but I can see how this scene can jog the memory.

Just found out about this, and it seems really cool so I'm going to be taking some notes as I watch which I will come back to and edit them as I see fit. 0:19 - The katakana text here reads "Green Valley". The report stating that there is "malfunctioning A.I." implies that whatever game we are about to see possesses a significant amount of artificial intelligence, which I find noteworthy considering that this kind of game typically has little (if any) A.I., instead opting to use scheduled movements for characters. This game also apparently has "specialized hardware", which we will later learn is referring to the THBrain device. 0:28 - "Your heart is in our hands." 0:31 - The Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology is a private university located in Fukuroi, Japan. It appears to have been historically a predominately engineering-focused university, but it also has a Department of Computer Science. 0:36 - There are four languages available: English, Italian, German, and Spanish. I will note the exclusion of Japanese as a selectable language. 1:31 - The name "TEST05" highly implies (but does not outright confirm) the existence of at least four previous testers before the person we are watching play this game. 2:35 - Shima is Japanese for island. 4:22 - I believe that this sequence is revealing to us people who are trapped inside the game. (Some of them are possibly previous testers.) There's Jansug, Kazuya, Oliver, Chloe, and Matias. 5:06 - Before Foxxo mentions "The Smiling One", who appears to be an authority figure above even Foxxo, we can see the text "COM". Maybe this stands for "computer"? It is theorized by some (and I find it a rather compelling theory) that these red text boxes are being generated by a rogue A.I. within the game program. 5:52 - Foxxo appears to be a pretty blatant satire of both politicians and authority figures in general - lording money and power over those who keep them in power to ensure their continued success. Not to mention that he gives you housing "for free", but then immediately places you in crippling debt that no person could ever recover from. Real landlord behaviour. 6:12 - It appears that in an unmodified copy of the game, this path would immediately lead to an area with a large cross. It continues the Christian imagery that we saw earlier with the statue of the Virgin Mary sitting nearby to where this game was discovered. That being said, I'm unsure of the imagery here. It could perhaps be a reference to the famous quote "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche", or "Let them eat cake.". This quote is typically invoked to demonstrate the callousness and uncaring nature of the rich and powerful when it comes to the suffering of those they deem "beneath them". 6:46 - Ah... that is upsetting. The only potential link I can draw from these eyes is that they could be referencing the Eye of Providence, which is a Christian symbol that represents the watchful eye of God who interferes with and protects humanity. The statues also invoke imagery of the Cyclops from Greek mythology, but that might just be for aesthetics. Maybe all of this doesn't mean anything, and it's just creepy as hell. 7:04 - I am not very well acquainted with the world of abstract art, so I would love if anyone could tell me what the paintings seen here are titled. 7:44 - The painting seen here is "Christ Carrying the Cross" by Titian in 1508. It's another piece of Christian imagery, and its presence next to a dumpster bin doesn't leave much to the imagination. Additionally, we can see the statue "David" which was created by Michelangelo between 1501-1504. Once again, a piece of Biblical art literally in the trash. 7:54 - The colouring of this area combined with the wet squelching sounds, the cries of an infant, the rhythmic contracting that shakes the screen, and the blood immediately brings to mind (to me, at least) a womb. This connection is further cemented by the pair of scissors/forceps wielded by a gloved hand that follows the player. The "womb" setting combined with the religious aspects mixed with the hands holding forceps brings to mind the whole debate about the ethicality of abortion and how it relates to religion. (Namely Christianity.) 8:46 - This discussion seems to be related to difficulties of finding a job (or even just working) in a struggling economy, as well as just being about the economy in general. 9:12 - This is a quote from J. Robert Oppenheimer during an interview concerning the first detonation of an atomic bomb. The code name of this test was "Trinity", which fits neatly with the themes of Christianity. 10:18 - I should note now that the previous rooms seem to fit pretty well into the formula of the seven deadly sins. Gluttony, Envy, Greed, Lust, Sloth, Wrath, Pride. Also, angels: yet another Christian motif. 10:40 - Note the phrase "Patient 02" to refer to (presumably) Matias. 11:11 - Here we learn that Matias knows of Chloe. 11:44 - Here we see a word being typed out, but we only get to see "nos" before it gets cut off. This was likely intended to be the word "nosotros", or "us". 12:05 - The poem being recited is "Lovely Lady in Blue" by Mary Dixon Thayer, and it is being recited by Fulton Sheen. The eponymous "Lovely Lady" is the Virgin Mary - yet another appearance of her. 13:22 - Joseph of Cupertino is a Christian saint who is the patron saint of air travelers and pilots. This is literally a "time flies" joke. I love it. 14:03 - When he's not being observed, Foxxo's statue turns into a rendition of the golden calf from the Bible. It's a literal false idol. 14:48 - Okay, this is apparently a 3D rendition of one of Benjamín Solari Parravicini's drawings that supposedly predicted the events of September 11th, 2001. 15:32 - The words on the portal read "Liberté, égalité, fraternité" or "Liberty, equality, fraternity", which is the national motto of France. This could potentially be connected to the cake seen earlier, with the quote "Let them eat cake" being strongly linked to the French Revolution. (At least, in the public consciousness. 16:27 - March 22nd, 1997 is the date that the Comet Hale-Bopp got the closest to Earth it has ever gotten. We can also see the message written out in a fifth language that does not (to my knowledge) match any language on Earth. 16:55 - This scene is likely a reference to the myth of Adam and Eve who ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil after being tempted by a serpent. (This serpent was/is often depicted as being Satan in disguise by later Christians.) The word Satan in Hebrew can be translated as "accuser". 17:21 - This being appears to be either the Archangel Uriel or a generic cherub, as he wields a flaming sword (which is associated with the cherub who guards the Garden of Eden) and possesses six wings, which is a trait typically applied to seraphim, which some modern religious teachings identify Uriel as. He speaks in Morse code, saying "Glory be to the most high God, on hig[h]", which is a quote from the Book of Luke. 18:58 - The song that is playing is "Doblando el codo" by Juan Manuel Mañueco and Eduardo del Piano. 19:13 - These are more of Benjamín Solari Parravicini's drawings which were purported to foretell of future events 19:54 - This painting Saint John the Baptist as a Boy created by Bartolome Esteban Murillo in 1670. I am unaware of the names of the other two. The date and times that the footage comes from are: 02/14/1997 - 08:01 02/15/1997 - 11:15 02/17/1997 - 07:25 02/18/1997 - 16:14 02/19/1997 - 07:46 02/21/1997 - 15:31 Thanks to Ruslan Adayev and Katzenmort for some of the information presented here!

I like this angle, a lot. It feels like an actual tribute to Catholic/ Christian belief as it goes over things most people don't even think of. Sure we think of Seven Deadly Sins, but lust is taken to an angle that actually makes sense from a religious perspective other than just "sexy time", that being the consequences and abuse of said activity. Just, it speaks to me and feels like it's been researched for the topic at hand. Realistic (as far as we know) angel depictions, the fall of man, and how the Devil takes on many forms and names as well as occupations. And even if this is just for the scary side of Christianity/ Catholicism, there's plenty for that too! I mean, TONS of scary stuff happens in the Bible, I'm surprised people haven't used it more for that whether they believe or not. And making a religious-focused project like this in this day and age is gutsy and brave since religion is often shunned, and ironically demonized. Great work here, man!

In particular I liked the scene at the forbidden tree. The way the devil tempted him to take the fruit... and then the instant he does, the devil showers him with condemnation and guilt and makes him feel hopeless, so that he'll give in and keep eating more and more fruit. This is real stuff. That's an honest experience of sin and what it does. I really appreciated that from a Christian perspective.

I wanted to add on, the first time I saw the Jesus poster start moving made my heart sink more than the satanic imagery, Especially cause I just read the passion before discovering this project. The feeling of grace from damnation was almost artful and I'm really excited to see where he takes it. It feels like a breath of fresh air from the "Faith has been wrong" air that normally gets aired out from other horror pieces. Ordinarily and in my opinion, the equation of faith being meaningless in the face of horrors beyond our imagining as a generalized theme in horror media (example being Hellraiser, the church scene specifically) really gives weight to the feeling of being saved at that ending scene.

@@the.seagull.35 Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but this felt like one of the few times religion and Christianity is depicted as a force for good in a horror setting. I was pleasantly surprised by this since I'm used to the opposite, and it gets annoying as a Catholic who is into horror media. Disclaimer, this is how I interpreted the message, and I don't know the intended message and themes of the creator.

i can’t get over how absolutely GORGEOUS this is. the art-style is so unique and full of character, which offers a stark contrast to the game’s scarier elements, and the sound design manages to lull you into a sense of nostalgia and comfort, only to completely rip it away from you without notice. the jumpscares here are used perfectly here, sparingly, and well-mixed in with the general atmosphere. i can’t wait to sit down and properly analyse this when i have the time.

Okay...despite the very horrifying elements (it seems like it's kept some data of previous playtesters?) this honestly looks like a game I would be interested in playing myself. There's a certain charm to the intended design of it that would be very appealing, even without the AI features and the specialized hardware needed for them (much as I love the idea of an AI being able to generate new content, so a game can be truly endless). Though, it is kind of funny how the game script calls for Mayor Foxxo to give the player money, and the AI seems to have decided to take it back. LOL! (I wonder if the colour of text boxes indicates the tone of dialogue, or if the red boxes were a debug feature to show when the AI was generating new lines.) I'm impressed by the content generation too, of course. With modern advances in art generation and language parsing, it would be so much easier, but for the PS1 to do it the AI hardware must connect to the internet I would think (pretty sure the console couldn't) unless it had a really good database, and storage was tight back then (plus there's some weird assets for it to just have built in). Then again...with it describing the state of "patients" during the game, it almost sounds like they were trying to do some kind of neural link, and get an actual brain to be the AI! Or maybe that's exactly what they were doing, since the tester seems to be able to talk to an "NPC" like they're a person? Maybe one of their testers was too religious, and that led to all the strange imagery.

As someone with an admittedly basic understanding of Japanese, I find it interesting that the tagline under the Onixware logo,「あなたの心を私達の手に」(aka "Your heart is in our hands"), uses the kanji 心 (kokoro), which is most often translated as "heart", but can also mean "mind" or "spirit". I haven't watched the rest of the video yet, I paused to read the tagline and noticed the possible implications. Also a sidenote, I'm super proud of myself because I could read the tagline and understand it without needing my dictionary. I know it's a super basic sentence, but I'm still proud.

The thing about failing economy, consumerism and hard christian religion theming (am christian too and I'm aware either half of population in Argentina is either super christian or the exact opposite and wants to burn churches). There's also clear indication that the game is trapping people, turning them into NPCs and not allowing them to move. No clue what the other clips are used, but at 9:30 it's definitely Oppenheimer's famous speech after commiting to creation of atomic bomb.

There’s a lot here relating to Hiroshima, I find. The charred old man in hell, the Oppenheimer speech, the great flash of light after he took the fruit (paired with some of the texts, I seem to remember one saying something about “already being stained”). The shadowed land with the wolves that you can get to from the heavenly place is very reminiscent of the scene of the bombing. The piece of evidence that makes me believe this the strongest though is the cargo minigame, where the presumably evil blue cat says to “make sure that none of the packages are lost in the water” where you fly over islands dropping packages in a sea guarded by what is, without a doubt, the Statue of Liberty. This could be a sort of revenge fantasy, or maybe something else, but it seems conclusive

The addition of external hardware to explain any extra capabilities (and spookiness) as opposed to all this being done on a standard PS1 is a really nice touch to help suspend belief! I also appreciate the little details, like how the investigators are familiar with the game (skipping the intro FMV, speeding through dialog, ease of navigating the world/menus, etc.) and how there are enough context clues to where you can easily determine when dialog is 'vanilla' (blue textbox), AI generated (red), and player or separate AI generated (green). Onto things I didn't see mentioned, maybe because they were too obvious. - The first recording date is on Valentine's Day, another nod to Christianity however slight, and seems to be the fifth of five tapes - fitting then that the player names themselves 'TEST05.' - A little later on the world map whoever is playing pauses while they enable/unlock the debug island - another nice subtle detail! - The only house with a raised flag is Matias'. - It seems like there are overt religious themes in the vanilla game outside of whatever the AI is putting in (tree of knowledge references, the presence of a church, etc.) which brings ambiguity into how much of the religious themes and imagery can be attributed to a rogue AI. - Similarly, it's hard to gauge whether something like the mayor's statue and posters plastered in the bar are part of the vanilla game or something the AI added. - A transparent structure fades in and out behind the priest, somewhat resembling the angel which appears later. - There's definitely something about lambs and wolves going on in that one scene. Maybe an inversion of Isaiah saying that lambs and wolves will live in harmony or the morbid aftermath of Luke and Matthew sending lambs out among the wolves. - March 22, 1997 is the date of Hale-Bopp's closet approach and subsequently the Heaven's Gate incident. - At some point the player gained 155 coins. - Lastly, I know I've seen those birds at 19:48 before but couldn't tell you where they're from (edit: it's Kyorochan!) Excellent work through and through and I can't wait to see more!

I AM OBSESSED WITH THE ANIMATION - AND THE WAY THIS IS ALL PUT TOGETHER SO ACCURATE TO A REAL VIDEO GAME OF THE TIME, THIS IS SO WELL MADE THIS RULES. THE WAY THE HIGHER QUALITY 3D ANIMATION IS MADE TO RESEMBLE 2D ANIMATED CUTSCENES/?? FUCKING GENIUS. okay screaming over but I have more thoughts every single _second_ of this feels like a game i've played as a kid, not a specific one, but hundreds of low quality japanese games for the ps2/ps1 all jumbled together. this feels like a game you play as a kid and then try to reference to your friends thinking it was a universal experience only to find you are one of like 12 people who ever played that game. every single shot feels so _authentic_ its genuinely throwing me for a loop just how well you mimicked not only the art style but the _game making style._ places where cutscenes happen, dialogue boxes, character design, the kinds of cutscenes that happen (like that little zoom in on all the people when the main character first reaches town.) how _grounded_ and nostolgic the first few minutes feel really makes the horror hit harder i think, that feeling of "i totally could have played this./ i've played a game exactly like this." makes it all the more offputting when it starts getting weird

Something to note is that the player names themself “test05”. This could mean one of two things in my opinion; this is the 5th test run of this game by this group, or one of the five test children has died already. Possibly Chloe, considering the child we see has no idea where she is. The player would name themselves “test05” because they would now be the 5th player out of 5 who are playing this game.

@@ImFangzBro it's possible Kazuya's decision to take matters into his own hands and force an end to his own suffering might have forced Foxxo to imprison all of the remaining kids, save Mattias who seems to be protected by his idea of an all powerful and merciful god.

I could be wrong, but from what I've noticed, Foxxo seems to be particularly aware of their environment and their actions, overcome with greed. Outright gouging, lets call them agent five, beyond even reasonable debt as soon as they begin investigating, perhaps on base instinct? Perhaps they were greedy for more than just gold. For the souls of those children who are now bound.

Here's what I think is going on; The game is a summary of the Old Testament, with some sort of evil (probably demonic) force infesting the game and imprisoning those that play it within the game itself. Firstly, as another commenter pointed out, each of the seven rooms leading to the church is a representation of the Seven Deadly Sins. In Dante's Inferno, Greed is symbolized as sort of the "point of no return" in terms of hellish punishments, shown in the video as the character placing the pile of gold behind them, blocking their way. The path to the church could also be a representation of Purgatory, as after the hellish rooms are endured the player character is surrounded by serenity and angelic figures. The inside of the church itself and the man within could be a representation of God, or something else. After the game resets, we see the mayor next to his statue, which could be an allusion to the golden calf story as the mayor says that the statue was a gift from "The Smiling One" that gives him total control over the island. The Smiling One could be the demonic force inhabiting this game, and the mayor is working with him as a sort of Antichrist figure. Who The Smiling One actually is, I don't know. If you pause at exactly the right time in one of the rooms leading to the first church encounter, you can see a smiling figure standing next to you, so maybe that's it? Next we have the fruit scene, meant to be a representation of Adam and Eve falling to sin (The person talking to our character is called "The Accuser" in Spanish, and is trying to convince us to keep eating/sinning since we're so far gone, leading me to believe this is the demonic force speaking directly to us) Once the character respawns in front of the church gates, the way is blocked by what is meant to be a representation of a biblically accurate angel, and if we take the Adam and Eve story then the church is meant to represent Eden/Heaven with God within as the man inside. The wolf scene afterwards reminds me of a story where the Devil tasks a bunch of wolves with eating baby Jesus after his birth, with our character seeing baby Jesus as an innocent (probably dead) wolf cub outline. Now, what about all the creepy ghost kids? Well, they're former players of the game before us that were taken by the demon. We know there have to be at least 4 former victims, with the Argentinian boy being the only one we meet. Perhaps the Japanese man he speaks of was a creator of the game, testing its sacrificial abilities to the demon within? I believe that the children, including Test05, are meant to represent the innocence and purity of humanity, being both literal children and representations of Adam and Eve in the tree scene. Now, why does the game randomly reset? Well, this is a recording from the 90s, and so perhaps some government agency is playing it, trying to figure out what it is and log all the anomalies, or maybe it's the game getting us intrigued with creepy things. Perhaps the game can only take our souls when we've played it long enough? And finally, the creepy house at the end is a representation of regret, due to the song playing in the background. Though throughout all of this, I believe there is a force battling the demon, as the painting of Jesus tell us to visit him where his body lies. Though this could be yet another trick from the demonic game, enticing us to play it longer with the false hope that we may be able to defeat it. ...And that's it from me. If I've missed anything, let me know

There are many things I can say about the quality and artistry of this project thus far, but I'd especially like to mention that am very deeply appreciative of how you executed the glitches and jumpscares (which I'm sure count as "anomalies"). They're actually thematically and visually relevant to their scenes, and don't just exist for shock value. Very thoughtful and creative overall. Can't wait to see where this goes!

Interesting thing about the flags outside the other player houses. With the exception of Mattias who appears to be the only one you can interact with, the flags are in a lowered position. Could be an allusion to flags being at half mast when in mourning? Also the date of 22 March 1997 is within a couple days of the arrival of the Hale-Bopp Comet and the mass suicide of members of the Heaven's Gate cult, who were a Christian/New Age group. Possible connection?

Right, SO There are 5 players before TEST05. Jansug from Georgia Kazuya from Japan Oliver from Ireland (this one especially spooked me because i'm also irish) Chloe from France And Matias from Argentina who's currently the only one we see. Kazuya's shoes are outside the house, meaning Kazuya most likely killed himself but here's another detail. All of the flags except Matias' one is lowered. The lowering of a flag is a symbol of mourning, distress, or a salute to the fallen. Matias even says he doesn't know where Chloe is. This most likely means Jansug, Kazuya, Oliver and Chloe are dead and Matias is the last one remaining. Also, the wolf/lamb scene probably has a slight depiction of how Chloe died as the entrance to it has the motto of France.

Actually the scariest analogue horror I've seen, like holy shit those jumpscares I never saw coming, the subtle oddness of pieces like the fox shaking his head put me on edge, the only thing that didn't scare me where conventions like the the houses with flags and distorted kids faces, though I assume that was included for narrative need.
