Valle de Yunguilla is a beautiful and fertile valley sitting at between 1000 meters at it's low points and 2000 meters at it's upper edges. It's one of the famous valleys of eternal spring, and a popular expat retirement destination due to the low cost of living, perfect climate, easy immigration policies, and proximity to all the amenities of the city (Cuenca about 90 minutes away).

The big rock at the end of the video actually is part of the property that belongs to a nice gentlemen from NY who is now operating an organic farm there. Hopefully you and your famly would come back and visit Yungilla soon.

Was it easy for your family to immigrate there? It must be very inexpensive allowing you to take the time off to see other parts of the world. Those places look very peaceful and relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle of Seattle.

My wife is Ecuadorian, so it was very easy for me to get permanent residency, but in general Ecuador is one of the easiest places to move to, at least on paper using either a retirement visa or an investor visa. There is, however, a bit of inefficiently and bureaucracy about the process. I used to live in Tacoma and work in Seattle. I would go back to that lifestyle even if you paid me to.

It’s mild leaning towards warm. There’s a lot of elevation drop as you descend further into the valley so there’s a range of both temperatures and humidity. When I was there the humidity was low. Not sure how much it varies. It was pretty close to perfect, though leaning towards too warm for me, but I think anything over 78f is too warm.

Depends on where you are in the valley. It’s not going to be fast, but it’s adequate for most things unless you’re in a remote area. In general, it’s on the slow slide in all of Ecuador.
