📖🙇🏻‍♂️Know before you Go:
Located at about 4 Km from the Ghangaria Village, this exquisite valley homes more than 500 species of flowers🌸. This is a UNESCO world heritage site.
🕰️ Best Time to Go:
June: Heavily packed with tourists; less chances of rains.👩‍👩‍👦‍👦
July-August: Most recommended. The valley is full of flowers.💐✨
September: Less flowers, less chances of rains.🌬️
The majestic aura of this place has attracted many tourists/botanists from the country and abroad, and got them to publish books about it.📚
* We started the trek from Ghangaria around 8:40 AM in the morning and were able to return to our hotel at Ghangaria by 5:00 PM.⏱️
💡How to reach?
• Board a bus from Rishikesh to GovindGhat (~275KMs).
• From GovindGhat reach Phulna (either through cab or by hiking) (~4KMs).
• Either stay at Phulna or continue hiking to Ghangaria (~9KMs).
• Book a stay at Ghangria, get comfortable, and go further for Valley of Flowers the next day or as per your arrival schedule (~4KMs).
Note: Ghangaria is the take-off point for both Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of flowers Trek.

It’s an easy DIY trek since the trails are well-defined. I did it with a local friend of mine. If you seek companions then you may choose to go with some trekking company, else you may even hire a localite to understand the science behind the place and the flowers.

Yes, the place can be visited from Rishikesh in September Month. The roads are totally functional and comparably better, but always keep in mind the unpredictable nature of the mountains too.

You can do it on your own really. Trails are easy. Also you can’t anyway stay in the valley, so will have to return to the base point. Therefore, Self-manageable👍🏻

Depends on person to person. Staying at Gurudwaras and having meals there would save you money, else go for hotels or camping. Prices vary accordingly. Ensure pre-bookings as it’s flooding with tourists, so you might not get much stay options.
