In this video I take a deeper look into using my Valtteri Bottas F1 wheel on Assetto Corsa & F1 2020.
I briefly look at the buttons and the overall looks and features of this wheel.

6:55 As for the green lights not showing, I believe its used to show when DRS is available, and then another green light on when DRS is activated, But theres still some other lights left over so I know theres more but I cant positively say what they are.

you are 100% correct. on the left of the shift lights two green lights will show up once DRS is available and once you click the DRS button it will have 3 green lights.

The first light is switched on when your DRS will be available on the next zone, the 2nd light is switched on when your Drs is available, and the next 2 are switched on when your DRS is activated

In the real car the +10 and +1 buttons are used to quickly input numbers, so say he needs to input a selection of 32, he hits +10 3 times for 30, then +1 2 times for 2. But I don't think that's really necessary for anything in any current sim available on the consumer market so I guess they're freebie buttons :)

Hi, congratulations on that wonderful creation. I'm also building a replica of the simracing wheel, but I can't find the small numbered blu wheels, which you call "knobs" embedded in the grips, (ENTRY and MID) . I only find them 3D printed in PLA but not in aluminum or more noble materials. Could you help me? Thanks Luca

Just a question, are the dimensions the same as the real wheel? It looks very large, the real one seems smaller, maybe that or ove never understood the size of the wheel.

To my knowledge, this one does appear slightly bigger. I think its because the real one is made from carbon fibre, and this is more plasticy.

@@KencoTV Yes from the onboards the real one looks smaller and the drivers can almost cover the entirety of the handles with their hands. This one looks bigger

Bit of a strange question. Are the rotaries at the bottom essentially 2 buttons (like what you'd have for bbal, up for plus, down for minus) or are they 16 different buttons?

That’s a great question! So they’re programmed as 2 buttons essentially, but Assetto Corsa/Sim-Hub knows, and will cycle the buttons from 1-16. It’s just a rotary switch, but super cool!

I paid £850 in total for shipping, and it taken about 2 months to arrive. Updates in pictures from Myles throughout. Worth every penny though! 😍

Hey mate! I should still be around on Discord somewhere - it’s going to be tricky if you’ve moved from Logitech to Fanatec. I had to send my wheel back to Myles to change the attachment on the back to a quick-release that’s comparable (Fanatec Podium Hub) but if you’re good with that stuff, you might be able to fit it yourself, should be the same holes.

About the green rpm lights, Im not 100% sure on this but since every shift is in the same rpm area, there is not much need to show the green anyway. Now again, im no expert, so dont take my word on it.

The green 4 led on the rpm are not used for the engine ... there actually used for DRS ... first 2 for when drs is available ... 2nd two leds for when its activated ... 👍👍👍

I just want to let everyone know, especially In the US, be very careful buying any custom made products that replicate existing products and/ or display logos. Research the laws in your country/ locality and ask questions of the seller!! For example, in the UK "Lando Norris" is trademarked in a variety of categories and this wheel could reasonably be found to infringe on the Class 012, 028, and 009 trademarks. Additionally, it violates the property rights of McLaren and F1. It's really disgusting to see this trend of people using CAD and 3D printers to make money off someone else's hard work.
