If the logo is combined with good services, good prices, good customer service, etc. people will start to associate the logo with those things, the logo isn't great until it's combined with something great. So take that into account, a logo is an important part of the brand, but it only works when the other elements are on point too

When I started my tree care service, I swapped some comic books to a young sketch artist for a set of designs. I wasn't happy with his work, so I designed my own. I wanted a tree that spelled out the name of my business in the branches and roots. And the name of my company was 4 words. I wanted people to realize I had the entire environment in mind, not just the tree in isolation from the environment. I chose "Nature's Way Earth Care" for my name. It confused some people. I would get calls for generic landscaping or pest control. But my focus was on trees, and my tree shaped logo reflected that. I did okay. My design is memorable, even if people can't read it right away. But if I ever start another tree care service, I'll have a shorter, more memorable name. For now, my focus is on launching my community farm.:) You wouldn't believe how many clients I've had that couldn't remember the name of the last tree care service they used! How could you not? Trees live for decades, and people cherish them. The people who care for them are at least as important. Honestly!

All I can tell is that we nearly became enemies :)) It was one of the trickiest tasks that I had. About your poll: 1) McDonald's: playful, colorful, inviting 2) Apple: bitten apple = going outside of rules, innovation 3) Playboy: pagan symbol of sexuality but with a touch of class due to the ribbon 4) Patriots: warrior spirit with a patriotic coating 5) Raiders: ruthless, would do anything to win 6) Red Sox: energy and baseball ( kinda hard to get if you don't know about them being a baseball team though) 7) Spirit Airlines: simple almost childlike, affordable, warm but serious business

A logo only makes you feela certain way if you can connect it to some experience or something you heard someone say etc. You can make the best, most memorable logo ever and people will just forget it if they never had to do with you or thought about you. They will recall it if they see it agin, but they wont necessairly think about your brand when they think about a thing that you produce. What i want to say is that a logo doesnt really help you to maket your stuff, it only makes people feel good when they see it if they like your product. This obviously also works the other way around. If people hate your barnd and see the logo they are gonna think of how bad your brand is every time they see it. Good logo is just a powerful as your products.

They have devalued the process of design and the site is full of dodgy designers that copy other people's logos. They're good for things like voiceovers and that kind of thing. But if you want a proper logo design. Find a proper logo designer.
