What's in the box of the Valve Index? I wanted to know that when I was thinking about getting into VR. This Valve Index unboxing lets you know whats included. I hope you enjoy the unboxing.

I use a tension pole (for lazily hanging curtains/netting on windoes) with a motorbike action camera mount (the same 1/4 thread as the base stations!) for mounting my Base Stations without the need for drilling.

I originally ordered a Rift S but read more about the Facebook privacy stuff and decided to return it. Then I decided I might as well just get the best VR headset I can instead :D (it's an investment right? 😅)

@@KakuRainbowVR Same i used to also use a RIFT S but i since then upgraded over a year ago to a valve index. I can say it is worth it. It is not overpriced ether considering the things you get with it. I have had to replace the right controller a few times. But other than that it has been great. This video is really helpful too. You made this video to help people see what they will expect when it arrives and it is a great video. Have a great day.

By the time I'm writing this, my Index is still in the process of being shipped, but I can already tell that this is going to be an upgrade from my crappy Rift S. The Rift isn't a bad headset, but it's like trying to tame a bull. Sometimes, it'll just refuse to work and I have to force it and one time, it even harmed one of my display ports. I just hope the Index has a smooth setup and is a well-enough upgrade

I got my Valve Index a few days ago. it says it includes a microfiber cleaning cloth for the lenses but i didn't find it when I initially unboxed...

Why are idiots still buying this? It's the worst headset out there, and tons of forum posts on the busted controllers, glare, crappy blacks, nobody smart buys the full index kit... They buy something like, (Cosmos elite / Pimax 8K / Vive pro) have valve wands/index controllers, and 1.0 base stations.. or 2.0 1-4 months later, (my controllers are busted, I want to RMA my index) wah... give you less than 5 months..

I agree that there are some pretty significant problems with the Valve Index, however I do believe its currently the best overall kit rn. It has great video, great audio (that so many other brands don't invest in), and the best set of controllers around.

@@KakuRainbowVR It's not the best.. what I've listed is the best... And the best set of controllers? so constant issues, drift complaints, lack of full finger tracking games, controllers not working with older games, = best? OKAY! The only thing they are best at is 2 categories.. 1) Finger tracking for the small minority of games that have such support. 2) The strap to hold the controllers on your hands..

@@saradomiancampbell2413 Every game I've played has worked well with knuckles controllers. Some don't have individual finger tracking support - but I recognise that adding that is a pretty niche request as the majority of VR gamers wouldn't benefit from it. I've had a good experience with it, but I know a lot of people have had bad experiences. I'm not really recommending it in this video, rather if someones already decided they want to go for the index, I want them to be fully aware of whats included and whats not so they can get ready for VR gaming asap (e.g. buying tripods with the camera mount so that you have them once your headset arrives and start playing straight out of the box :))
