We had problem with our steel seats leakage on Lada VFTS proto. Lada has Fiat Ritmo 130 TC Abarth head. Problem with leakage come up because good machinist is difficult to find especially in Croatia. So we decided to make it on our own. We bought TROJAN alloy, and insert new seats using liquid nitrogen. This copper based alloy is a bit softer than steel so it is easier for cutting and it will probably seal better. Unfortunately I have lost leakage test picture after new seats were tested but believe me there was no air leakage any more.
