I like how simple this is. I feel like KZfaq makes it easy to get caught up in building the perfect van, when in reality van-life is about the experiences that you have outside of the van.

We have a 2014 chevy express extended van. Your build has waaay more storage space! I'm simply loving the simplicity and those curtains are BEAUTIFUL! Your both so young...grab life an go! Looks! Awesome!

Nice! Hey, you can - get a plastic drain valve at hardware store. - Drill one hole, in cooler, screw it together by hand. - Then, you could run a little hose to near the door, for draining. You would never have to move your cooler again! : )

I have the same van conversion. I build differently because I feel like the 2 counters make it very tight. I sleep head to the end of the van because I’m only 5.5”. I use a 65q Rtic cooler. But your built was pretty good. I like it too if I’m by myself but I’m married so. It’s looking organized and good.

Run a small hose from the cooler to outside the van and suck on it until the water starts flowing. Might fix the cooler problem

Hey Trey, on your ice melting issue, I have a suggestion. Get a small water pump (12v or usb) and some hose (3/8") and pump the water out in a couple of minutes :>) Nice van.

I've seen just how much ( and how little) room you have in one of these Chevy Cargo vans, and I would not have put a counter on both sides. I am just one little person, (5' tall) so I would have put in a twin-bed sized murphy bed arrangement with an apartment refrig and microwave secured so it doesn't go flying off the counter. These vans start out pretty spartan. I would also have privacy curtains and/or pull-down screens since these vans are often pretty much surrounded by windows. The cargo van I saw at a local dealership did, anyway. It's the smallest vehicle in which I would ever attempt a conversion. I know people have done minivan conversions, but that would be "pushing it," for this claustrophobic person, that is what I am.

I can't believe the deal you got on your van! I'm shopping now with $10-$11000 and can't find ANYTHING with less than 150000 miles on it. So frustrating! Any ideas on places to look? I've been doing Craigslist and FB Marketplace for the most part. I live in central Florida. Any advice is appreciated!

@@treymckown6263 thanks I'm just gonna keep on trying and hopefully it'll happen sooner than later. I thought with 10Gs I'd find something but I think I need to increase to 14Gs but that's gonna cut into my solar fund and my emergency fund.
