he's always been picked on for his passing. I actually think both of them have been going through a rough patch lately. For example, you seen Partain hit out on a wide open net this game.

@@ShaunYan yea. I imagine they’re under a lot of stress with Paris coming up especially with how young of a duo they are. Kinks will work themselves out they just need a confidence boost. Playing Sweden yesterday definitely didn’t help 😭

Partain and benesh have just lost their stuff. Partain just never going on 2 and Andy is just having a brutal time passing the ball all this season.

I’m scared partian and benesh are actually trying to win but falling short each time. Wonder if they’ll change anything up come Olympics.

I understand that Benesh is a large guy and it is harder for him to be as mobile on the court. I hope he is doing weight training and mobility drills improve his on the court movement. That will help him to be more explosive on his blocking jump too. He also needs to be more aggressive on serve receive and more to the ball. Also he needs to work on not getting under the ball when hitting and not seeing the block. He should be hitting over most blockers. I will say he has pretty good setting skills.

Good analysis, but with all the flaws in his passing and hitting techniques, his setting is not much of a factor, as opposing teams serve him most of the time to keep up the pressure.

Andy has always run under the set. Robs him of physicality he needs badly. The biggest decline I see this year is his serve receive which has prevented them from Miles deadly option game. These guys have been playing up and down for the last half of last season and this year and it does them no favors.

I'm not sure this announcer knows the identities of the four individuals on the court. Not sure she can tell them apart the way she clings to addressing them as countries.

Not sure who this announcer is but at 4:35 USA wasn't "doubling up on the cross", they were faking an angle block and line dig and then switched. This is basic stuff. Then at 8:46 "questionable serve", no, that is an "excellent" serve which caused a bad pass. Are you a. anti-American, b. not know volleyball, or c. both? Please replace this announcer.

None of these announcers are "anti-American", quite the opposite, as they are all native English speakers. They routinely focus on the few teams whose names they can pronounce, which means teams from the US, Canada, Australia. Also, if these announcers are familiar with the history and playing style of anyone whose matches they call (a big "if"), it is the US teams.

Bro, being English does not make one inherently unbiased toward Americans, and her enthusiasm was mostly on one side, as I believe I noted in another game. I really doubt that Europeans know US teams better than their neighboring teams reachable by a short train ride. She also showed herself not to be reading the game well. I haven't noticed either of those qualities with other announcers.

@@nealpobrien I have been watching these kind of streams online for many years, and the bias of British and US announcers towards American teams is irrefutable. I witnessed some of them spending entire matches raving about the skills of Kerri Walsh or Phil Dalhausser who weren't even playing (!). I guess when you know nothing about the athletes at hand and can't pronounce their names, American stars are a welcome distraction to pass the time.
