Secrets is one of those fire deep cuts, its a vibe.

Good song. They like to change it up. Just remember when you get to "Intruder" it goes with "Pretty Woman". "Intruder/Pretty Woman"

Secrets is definitely one of my favorites from this album. It's so different but still so good. Love DLR's vocals and the lyrics have a dreamy quality to them. That guitar solo is perfect. It's EVH all the way, but a completely different side of him. I agree about the bass on this song, but then I'm partial to the bass on most VH songs. Michael Anthony is an absolute beast. Cathedral is the song that Eddie plays on part of the Eruption solo video that is done just by playing chords and manipulating the volume knob. It sounds better live than on the album imo, but it's still a shining example of EVH's creativity and ingenuity.

Secrets has always been my favorite EVH guitar part. Those chords are so chill, quite a departure from his usual stuff.

Have always loved this track, speaks to his innovation and brilliance by making this sound primarily using the volume knob on his guitar is amazing. Can see him playing this in a few live concert videos

"Secrets" is VAN HALEN crafting a superb radio-ready, undeniable, "live-in-your-mind-forever," rock 'n' roll (arguably: edging "pop-rock" ... certainly: radio-rock) song (and doing it in their, inimitable, style/flavor ). As much as: FAIR WARNING has, always, been MY album, from them (and the entire D.L.R. run, really!), "Secrets" is an unquestionable banger and shows that: this band could do anything they imagined/wanted to and do it SUPERBLY! TOP-OF-GAME! CHAMPIONSHIP-LEVEL !! 🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 [Diver Down deserves so much more respect. The fact that it was so rushed and has so many innovative techniques that Eddie and Donn Landee came-up with, during making it, ALONE!!!🤘🤘]

I really like this album. Cathedral is totally off the charts. I’ve never heard anyone use this technique. Totally original by Edward. Secrets is one of the best songs on this album. My favorite is the full bug. Lots of good stuff here. Thanks for reacting.

Ride it out and enjoy

I'm following along for the simple fact I had this on 8-track tape!🤣 Fortunately my dad got me a stereo a year or 2 later. He actually just brought me the tape one day. I would've preferred one of their earlier ones, but the fact my dad was a country bumpkin I had to give him credit for trying.

Underrated one

Such a great combo. I avoided this record for a long time because I had heard that it was a weak record. Well damn if that's not the case. One of my favorites despite the fact that I loath Dancing In the Streets.
