About us:
After meeting in New Zealand back in 2017, Beth and Jake have travelled the world, working online and creating memories.
Beth left the UK in 2014 and has been travelling full time ever since, she is the owner of www.sheisthelostgirl.com and has a passion for writing and photography.
Jake has been travelling since 2016 and during this time has perfected his photography and videography skills. He is adventurous and has a passion for the outdoors.
Having lived in various countries around the world, we decided that instead of settling down, we'd build a tiny home inside a van.
We've never done anything like this before, we have no building experience, no electrical experience, and no plumbing experience.

Entire landscape for me. I would recommend adding Donegal, Ireland to your list of places to travel in the van, some incredible views, hills, lakes and people!

Guyyss this video is epic, the drone shots literally look like an oil painting its wild!! Ook we defo have to make a trip here after watching this haha :) Jake running next to the van really made me chuckle, was that the part you kept laughing at? x

It was like a painting! I still can't get over how amazing the place is. You must make the trip out here. Reggie would love it too, running through the dried out rivers beds. Yes, that was the part hah, we liked how dramatic the music was and then there's Beth driving nice and slowly while I ran next to it ahaa

This video is SO WELL DONE!! The scenery is obviously gorgeous, but I’m incredibly impressed and envious of your editing skills!! How do you have such stabilized video while you’re walking? Is that something you do in post-production?

Thank you so much Ellen! We actually use a gimbal for the shots which have a lot of movement or when we're walking around. That's how I'm able to keep the footage smooth, especially since I like to do a lot of follow or panning shots. Very happy to hear that it's appreciated!

watch out for those catterpillars !!......MANNNNNNN this was outstanding filming....I almost expected Obi wan Kenobi & R2-D2 & C-3PO and Chewy wandering the paths and a few Jedi starfighters coming over head..or DUNE (hum you may not of heard of the Dune films/books)..This music is sooo beautiful , reminds of the lion king and now im singing Hakuna Matata... :) ......ar that made me smile the list of animals...AND HEDGEHOGS...just bumbling along the desert...i love hedgehogs....I love the intricate details..as always peering close to things but the vasteness & beauty of this planet often blows my mind to be honest :) This was epic..and thanks for always sharing your adventures and you inspire many people with your talent & gentleness.. Big love guys :)

They sound scary don't they!! Thank you so much for the filming compliments, it did feel like a set out of Star Wars! Hopefully we won't come across Jabba the Hutt without Leia to save the day! I have seen Dune but Beth has no idea what that is, time to remedy that I think!! Did you know that there is a remake coming out later this year?? Unfortunately we didn't manage to spot any hedgehogs, maybe they're in hiding or just camera shy... Thanks as always for your kind words on our videos!

Hiya :) thank you! I’ll have a search for the email! I’ve had a few problems with the blog lately as it’s almost full capacity and I haven’t paid for extra space yet 🙈 So when I do that I’m sure the emails will come through xx but I’ll have a look now! We don’t sleep with the windows or vent open, we have so much air coming in through the bottom of the sliding door because at the moment it has no rubber seal 🤣 We can see daylight through it so kinda treat that as a vent 🤣 I do believe the vent we have still allows air through even if it’s not open :)

@@OurWildHorizons Thanks for such a speedy reply! Not ideal that you have an unintentional vent but also indeed quite handy hahah. But so when you designed it with the one window you were confident that you'd get enough air from just that? I also think its fine, but I juuuust wanted to double check because I feel you guys did a LOT of research so you might have a inside tip there :) Thanks again for all your AMAZING tips and tricks, I have like 50% of your build series saved in my "van build tips" list haha

Yes we did know that the airflow would be fine :) and when we are cooking we open the door always as well as having the vent open :) as for sleeping; we’ve lived in quite a few vehicles now and this is the only one with a vent, so we knew that one would be fine for us 😊

People mention "Spain" like if all Spain was the same, and sorry, but there's so many different places to see in Spain, is like if you compare the north of Spain with the Balearic Islands, nothing to do wich eachother.
