Van Life-Leaving Florida and Going Back to New York

All the recent events caused me to rethink staying in Florida. With tensions growing, I could sense that my daughter's stress level was raising, so I decided to go back to my daughter's house in New York to support her and my granddaughters.
This video is my 1235 mile trip back to New York. I've been here for a few days and I really miss the warm Florida weather and the color of the world. Leaves should be on the trees here in a few weeks.

Hang in there. I almost went all the way, but the trucks near DC were too many and too much for me. They took it out of me with all their cutting me off.

Glad you made it to your daughter’s house safely. Things are getting a little intense in some areas, but at least you’re all together for each other. Having a home might be a plus right now as well.

Thanks! Who knows what will happen in the future. You're right, bring in a home might be better, although I still sleep in my van every night. It was 23 degrees last night. 🙂🙂💪💪🙏🙏👍👍

Tough decision but wherever you are, precautions are required!!! Glad u made it safe, stay safe! God Bless us all. I’m still in Florida. Can’t leave my 93 year old Dad. Our girls are all in Illinois and want us to come back too. We are hunkered down here in Weeki Wachee. Hoping to meet you next winter. 😷

Well I don’t blame you for going and being with your daughter but that’s she should’ve come down south but there again you were at the epicenter down by Tampa,Florida’s epicenter

People are coming home to Canada because they are closing the border with the exception of transport trucks. Bars and restaurants got shut down Friday and people have been asked to keep their kids home from school.I would personally stay away from high population places like NY, as they are the most volatile in a crisis. Just make sure you got enough food for a month as I think NY will be on lock down soon if not already.

Thanks Corey. My isn't all populated. I'm in upstate NY. The city, long island and Westchester is where the most problems are. I'm listening to the NY governor as he speaks right now. We are going to have a wait and see. 👍👍🙏🙏

Hey Bob! I was supposed to go to Florida for my husband's meeting at FIU in Miami, but everything was cancelled due to the coronavirus. Gun stores are selling out because crazies are always on line wanting another civil war, plus to protect their 30 year supply of TP...my theory. If you remember, I am related to Dr. Pogue; plus, you said you knew the Erwins. My dad, Edward Erwin, just died. His obituary is on line by John Dobrinick(sp) in Trafford.
