Great install, guys. At the 10:00 mark you show the fuel line making a bend over a frame member. You might want to install a “rubber lined hose clamp” down there to keep the fuel line away from contact (chafing) with the frame metal. Just the engineer in me thinking about safety 😉👍

Congrats on finishing an intimidating project! How loud is the heater from the outside of the van? I am wondering how much it would compromise urban stealth.
@paulsonjeff
@paulsonjeff 5 жыл бұрын
Lmao. Sprinter van is anything but stealth. Call it the elephant in the room. The only thing that might be slightly stealth could be the astro van or even a caravan.
@veevanvoom5863
@veevanvoom5863 5 жыл бұрын
Stealth is many things to many people. If your going for the ‘work van only’ look then stealth becomes very uncomfortable for travel. If your definition of stealth is just to park unbothered as you move around the nation then your goal is just to look like a van than no one is sleeping in. This definition allows you to have fans and other life giving comforts and still park on streets over night. Then all you need is to learn to be quiet in your van, park late and leave early.
@Invictus13666
@Invictus13666 5 жыл бұрын
stealth..it makes noise. It produces exhaust including brown icicles. Not really stealthy.
@thematneys
@thematneys 5 жыл бұрын
Well first off it is stealth enough in that the cops or neighbors don't bother us when we constantly park in residential areas. That's my idea of stealth. And it is not too loud because of the muffler. I think its a bit louder without the muffler
@Invictus13666
@Invictus13666 5 жыл бұрын
@@thematneys But when you put the muffler on it that can lead to carbon build up which leads to burn issues. "well first off..." yeah. Meh. Y'all don't need me watching anyway. Best wishes.

We actually ended up having to get a separate deep cycle battery for this. We have just maxed that yeti out. It works well but it is not really designed for supporting an entire home so for some reason its 12V system just couldn't keep the heater's fan running. Not sure of why still

Love your channel and videos. I see that you are traveling to Toronto soon. If you choose to get to the border through Buffalo, NY I have a restaurant suggestion you might be interested in. We have a newer vegan restaurant called "Root & Bloom". It is just delightful and the food is amazing. Come to find out, the owners traveled the US in a converted van before returning to Buffalo to start their new restaurant. They explain their story on their website. Safe travels and I hope your journey takes you through Buffalo. It's a hidden gem and loyal Buffalonians don't pay any attention to the general negativity we receive. It just keeps the haters out, lololol.

Notice how every time Eamon & Bec post a video, a few days later Christian & Aubrey post a video with a very very similar title/content (not vlogs)?

I see what you mean here but I think this time it really is just as simple as van life people getting ready for winter. Also I think they shot this awhile ago even though they just recently posted it. Because they are already in D.C., as they just did a video with Trent from Trent & Allie. So they might have even shot this video before E&B but just uploaded later.

Love the new branding. Good one you guys for making a change, you can really tell it feels good to you in the videos : ) Also, love it, we say the same thing. "Don't come to us to see how to do something, we just give you hope that if we can do it, anyone can do it." lol Still saying Toronto meet up!

A heads up about Heatso.. It appears that Heatso may be selling defective Espar heaters to North America and while Espar is doing their best to stand by their name, Heatso may be selling seconds and the kit that I purchased included a wiring harnesses that is not only NOT an Espar wiring harnesses, but not serviceable either. If you bought a heater from Heatso, you may want to check your wiring harness and confirm with Espar that your heater is actually covered by the Espar warrantee! I will be contacting my credit card company in the AM about Heatso and the issues I have been having, so far have spent several days and $900+ dollars trying to install and troubleshoot errors with the S2 D2L heater and Pro Controller. Thanks to Espar, we might be getting to the bottom of this, but Heatso has some serious explaining to do if what I just heard from the Espar representative is true.

Seems like a lot of work for heat, if you have a plug in, just get a plug in heater. That's what I have. $20-30 for a plug in heater at Fred Meyer!!!!! ; ° )
