You see, my son was born 46 years ago so I gave his 1st name regarding my sister who wanted to give her Italian husband a son with his name but had 2 daughters. As a teen Mom they treated so well, I named him Murhl James. BUT over 16 years ago, he named his son Dylan James, who inherited my Dad’s ability to play anything with strings on it, so all is well in our small working family with one son each. Of course my grandson is Bobby’s namesake, although I’m the only one who actually met him, as a child when my late brother brought him home with him for a private jam session. We lived in WV near the WV Jamboree & I was just a little girl who served the guys soda pop excitedly bc I had a crush on Bobby. His kindness was never forgotten, laughing & patting me on the head. My brother sent my friend & I back into the house with a smile without being rude to my friend either, who thought she was in love with him LoL. He was home on leave from the army, so sat in for a missing band member on guitar that weekend. He wasn’t star struck, like we children were bc he played on a normal basis. Our Dad did as well, so I was used to country music players visiting, but had posters of Bobby in my room. Hadn’t fallen in love with Van until later in my life but am a 61 year old woman now, so have learned to love everyone. So if you are reading this, know that you are loved…by me! That’s taken several decades to learn, so a truthful fact. Don’t know where you are or what you have done, I love you. You must consider the source bc I’m not the cute little girl who crushed on Bobby & I’m not the pretty young woman who got her Glamour Shots picture package free of charge on a deal where the photographer was permitted to copyright & keep one for advertising. Definitely not the 12 year old girl whose legs were shown in the Legs pantyhose magazine ads that everyone thought was a shapely woman haha! Those were bicycle muscles bc I loved my 10 speed bicycle LoL! Is anyone reading this who remembers those hose being sold in a plastic egg, like an Easter egg? Those muscular legs were of a 12 year old athletic girl! Dad was with me every minute too, which I didn’t understand at the time but came to appreciate. Sorry for jumping topics bc I guess I’m ADD, but I have Parkinson’s now too, and only weigh 69 pounds, so please pardon typos. Can’t sit at a computer anymore so my son provided me this phone to keep me from losing the rest of my mind, always home alone after a life as a workaholic. I DO enjoy music & am grateful to see my grandson so talented in the business. His parents allowed him to start posting online this year due to keeping good grades & good behavior.😊 He’s only 16 if you’d like to look him up, but please be kind bc he’s young & just started. I told them I thought KZfaq would likely be the best place to start, so he did, but is on the others now, too. Sorry my eyes are too bad to do links anymore, & it’s taking dopamine from my brain making everything difficult. I honestly feel stupid now, so that’s me still being honest. Can’t change that. Don’t know what to do bc there’s no cure. All I need is another miracle, but already have had more than one is how I’m still here. Oh, changing topics again. 🤦‍♀️ My grandsons name is Dylan Osborne on here & elsewhere online. My favorite cover he does is “where is my mind” by the Pixies. But he has many online he has written himself. Idk if my phone screen is shaking or my eyes, but I’ve already said too much. Guess I got lonely, so sorry @Tomas Quinn for the long comment. Same here. Life gets so busy, we work building a home & family, we lose many people along the way. Isn’t it wonderful to get to come home to Van Morrison? I love hearing his voice again as a reminder of how great life can be and is. 🌺 😊

I played in 1967 in a garage band called the Mystic Knights in Jacksonville when we gigged . Those were the days. But we played the original version .

Oh my I remember struggling to get this song right with our garage band....don’t recall if we even had a a name but we did our second gig for 25 dollars for the four of us and we finally pulled it off. What a joy it was in those innocent years.

@@guschavez4354 Back in the 60s , 25 was not that bad . You could get a Krystal burger for 6 or 7 cent and a coke for about a dime . We would have played for nothing . Louie ,louie Sloopy Fever and Gloria plus the Stones was dance bands mainstays . Those were the days !

Charles Wesley yes sir, I just went to strum a bit on my guitar, have not done in years and boy my fingers are sore. The sounds coming out were Awful, I think I have forgotten what little I knew. Maybe if I’m brave I’ll try again later when nobody’s home.

@@guschavez4354 I have all the good equipment I didnt have when I was younger. But I donthave a band or the inclination . You need a lab or a Tascam CD player that will diminish lead in songs .Put the output into your amp and play along .Also you can get BACKING TRACKS to play with. I have a Tascam CD VT2 from Sweetwater .It can virtually remove or deminish the lead frequencies and vary the songs speed and remain in tune so you can learn at your speed .159 dollars .Also you may find Backing Tracks . I learned from the Ventures . Take a look at Vitaly Makukin on youtube .
