Hello! How did you connect between the end of drain hose (white colored 1/2" male fitting) and the cap of water tank (1/2" female fitting)? Was there any problem when you connected? I'm also using same hose and water tank, but it doesn't fit so I couldn't connect together.

Hi, Great video. I have a similar reliance tank but the 7 gallons instead. Mine came with a spigot fitting, not a barb fitting, where did you get the barb fitting inset for the top that threaded in properly? Thanks!

Tim Morrissey I cut the end off of the spigot just before the valve. My hose fit on perfectly!

Is there any way for it to drain quieter into the grey tank? or does it sound like that cause the tank was kinda empty or something? Also, did you connect the pump wiring to a 12v panel? Ty!

Hi there! Our total plumbing costs were 107.85. This doesn’t include the drinking water bottle which was $14.99 for the first bottle, but less for refills and exchanges. We have also refilled the bottle with tap water when available.

How do you hook the pump up to electricity? I've watched like 10 videos and they all say, "step --- attach the water pump" without explaining how and I am quite confused.

I'm doing this is my vintage mobile home I'm just gonna run an extension cord to an outlet and do it that way.

Depends on if your running 12v dc off the battery or if you get a 100 amp pump for ac (alternating current) like a house. If it's 12v dc you'll have to run a wire off your battery banks positive and negative terminal. It would be easy to hook it to a switch also, that way you can turn it off completely by a switch close to the sink if for some reason your water line gets a leak. The pumps will have a pressure switch built in so when they reach a certain pressure the motors turn off until you open the faucet, then when the water pressure drops they turn on automatically. If your not around and it springs a leak the pump will run continuously. Even after the waters all pumped out of your tank, then you'll probably end up with a burnt up pump and a mess of water to clean up. If its 100 amp you could plug it into a power strip with a switch to turn off, or wire it from a wall switch. That will depend on how fancy you want to get. A 12v from a battery bank you can also go with a fancier switch or a cheap toggle switch. Just make sure you don't get a momentary switch, thats the kind you have to hold down to work and when you let off the button it stops the power.
