i have a 1983 t3 weekender model( regular roof) for more that 20 years its traveled from Vancouver to the top of Newfoundland in Canada and from Toronto area to Prince Edward Island 6 times.these are extremely tuff automobiles .They are fun to drive and the vw van Comunitee is great.my grandkids call me hippy van grandpa. You should come travel Canada amazing sites to see and freindly people. keep safe God bless

I'm sure it's really nice being in a convoy for a bit! T3's are not as common round me so haven't had the opportunity to share the road with another one yet!

You’re right! It was lovely to hang out with friends with the same interest as we have. We geeked out on both vans and cooking, so we had a great time together. Hopefully you’ll stumble upon someone to share the road with sometime😊👍🏼

get a lithium battery...so much better! I have 200Ah with a 200W Solarfoldable and a 75/15mppt - I load up my ebikes with it. Love it!

Great video! We've subscribed to your videos. Amazingly we have just bought the exact same T25/T3 van type as just starting out with van camping. The van (bluebell) needs a little TLC tho... One question, we have the same water tank under the hinged seat. Is it possible to install a rock-and-roll type bed over the tank? If so what and where can we get the parts? Many thanks

Thanks! I just made this video, I have another version of the T3. However, I just changed to the rock and roll hinges myself, I bought them from serial-kombi.com

let us know. I would be no,because you see that wood tray thing, that means his bed rides higher than a Westy and everything seems to Westfalia design which is probably the basis for the rock and roll bed. That's ok, when you own a T3, you have to be resourceful, creative, and hard working...you could probably install the frame and modify as needed to clear the taller water tanks.... westy put the tank along the driver side or by the sink...
