I went to a race a couple weeks after this. When Kyle was introduced, the boos were deafening.

When Dale Jr wrecked, I was FURIOUS! I shouted at my TV and smacked the arm on my chair I was sitting in.

Kyle Busch is what NASCAR needs, it's first legitimate "bad boy" racer since vintage Earnhardt. And just like Dale Sr, Kyle does what it take to win. That's why he's the points leader.

I never get tired of this clip. I was sitting in the stands and the lady next to me, literally, was sobbing (!!) because Earnhardt crashed. It felt as though a riot would break out at any minute.

Let's see, how many races has KB won across the three top NASCAR series in the last 10 years? How many has Jr. won in the last 10 years? If I have to sit through another Jr. interview or commercial I think I'll puke.

I was at this race when I was 8. Just found the clip today.

It's funny that this happened over 4 years ago and some people are still complaining about it.

I was at this race and oh boy did the fans react. I've always had a love hate relationship for Jr but that night I joined in with the crowd of Kyle Busch haters. We all stood up on our seats giving Kyle the finger and yelling "Fuck you" and all that fun stuff. I actually yelled so much I lost my voice that night. Still to this day think Kyle drove too hard into the turn and took him out, don't know how you could argue otherwise.

Jr Fans always target other drivers when someone causes Jr to lose a race. Accident or not

The difference between Dale Sr and Kyle Busch is when Dale spun someone to win the race he actually came out with the race lead!

I do this all the time in NASCAR Thunder 2004 but I wreck someone else with Kevin Harvick on that game

I love how you look at how many people Busch has wrecked, and everytime the announcers say something like "not even going to really comment on that" or something bout how they've seen this coming, but because this was the "all mighty" Dale Earnhardt Jr, they say "ohhhh this is going to go over well" and freak out about it and all the fans boo in the stands, should've done that with the first person he wrecked but nope, do it to the guy that's only in Nascar cause of his father and who can't race any better then Danica, they do this shit with Johnson too acting like his a god, someone's bumping and fighting over a position they call it racing (which it is) but bump Dale Jr or Jimmie Johnson and all of a sudden they're calling it (rough sportsmanship) and you get slapped with a penalty.

He just meant to "rattle his cage" like Sr.

Also, when Dale Jr won the Nationwide championships, he was not running cup at all when in '09, Kyle had a full time cup ride.

I hope I'm not the only person like this, but I like Kyle Busch. I couldn't care less about his attitude. He is a good driver, and yes, everyone crashes. When Dale and Kyle crashed, Dale even said "We were just racing hard. That's what happens in racing." Everyone makes a big deal about him, and he is just another driver. I don't hate Kyle, and I don't hate Dale, but guys, COME ON!

Personally, I just love making fun of the people who are STILL bawling about this incident after four years. I guess a lot of it is due to the fact that Kyle's gone on to get many wins and all Dale has after this is that one lucky break where a caution prevented him from running out of gas on the final lap.

I agree 100%. You can CLEARLY see his wheels turn to the right. Even if he got loose, you don't turn to the right when you are loose. If you absolutely have to, you will turn right, but he had clear control of the car. I guess he couldn't beat JR. out of plain talent so he had to turn to other methods?

Darrell has seen this type of incident many times -- ironically, in 1986 at Richmond vs Senior. These guys on Fox seem to be short-track announcers instead of television broadcasters.

Both Jr and Kyle were on old tires. The two stayed out on the last yellow. It’s clear that Jr pushed Kyle too far down on the track for this situation and got Busch loose sending him up. It was Jr that caused this wreck.

I like Jr and Busch both. The problem with many NASCAR fans is they loathe Busch for doing the same thing they loved Dale Sr. for: just flat out wrecking people. No doubt that Kyle can drive a race car. I think its great for NASCAR to have someone like Busch in the sport and I don't condone intentionally wrecking others either. Nothing wrong with a little beating up every now and then.

Ok, so your 15. and i like that video you have posted with the guy passing you clean and you clearly taking him out on the straightaway. excellent job. must take some serious skill to race those things in a tiny circle. you fit right in their with that entry level racing.

The blame was 50/50, they just didn't give each other enough room. Kyle was committed to the inside line, you could see that, he was committed when they came off turn two and down the back straight. Dale knew he was there and could have turned up the race track a little bit but at the same time Kyle could have backed out the throttle a tad and waited a bit longer, he had the faster car, if he didn't he would not have been up the inside and all over Dale. It a racing incident and 50/50 blame

For those who say "rubbin is racin" I ask you this:..... would you want the whole race run with everyone spinning everyone out on every lap? They have that. It's called "Demolition Derby". What separates NASCAR from D/Derby is judgement, professionalism, maturity and talent. K Busch has talent...but none of the other attributes. There's a thin line between aggressiveness and just being a Punk. Someone ought to explain the difference to Busch. He may win but few celebrate it.

Yeah we do man. If you hate losing, and complain and complain until your car is perfect...you'll win a lot of races. That's what Kyle does, and look how many wins he has. If you knew much about racing you would realize that if your happy with running 10th or 20th, and don't complain, you won't win very many races. Kyle wants to win every race, and he just about does. Complaining is a good thing in racing...if you're not wanting them to make your car better, you'll lose.
