I'm still crying...don't think it's going to stop. And Bieksa's look in his eyes...it's just so heartbreaking and gutwrenching to see. On a night like that, a game loss like 4-0 does not matter. What matters is a human life and Rypper is gone forever.

I got to meet him a few times at his annual tourny in Blairmore. He didn't play, he bartended, but his brothers did and they won every year. Anyway, nice guy, but needed help even then a few years before he passed. Sad really.

Ryp was an awesome friend and human being. yes, he had his troubles, and did his best to conquer them. I miss his smile and laugh, his sense of humor, and his humble and soft spoken ways. Miss you Ryp, I hope you've won the Holy Grail by now. see you again when we meet up.

I always thought there should be a documentary about Rick's life. It's such a tragic tale but has a lot to teach about young men and the expectations put on them and about hockey, Canada, and life.

I haven't heard of him until recently, but this is making me cry. I lost a teammate of mine to suicide 9 1/2 months ago and it made me be in an overhang of sadness and fear for almost 2 months. And yes that was during studying for finals and doing a summer class. I mean there was times I was happy but it was there still.
