Gotta love the mouth of the fraser in August took my dad my son and my step son who had never caught a salmon before and we had a 25 plus fish day my stepson got the first one was so good to see the boy smile like that. One morning I picked up my buddy at the harbour ferry dock at the bottom of Thurlow. Then we fished the bell buoy, got some chinooks an crab, dropped him off back at the dock. He walked home through the west end with a 12lb chinook and a sack of crab. Vancouver has awesome salmon fishing year round.

Great action...great to see our local fisheries doing so well. Catch and release is a lot of fun ...let them go let them grow!

After watching this video I’m sure glad DFO shut down the Fraser mouth this year till September. Looks like August is a terrible month for chinook stocks. Complete joke! Hopefully things change soon. Don’t forget to vote in the upcoming election. Great video Jason!

I was out fishing that same day. We didn’t get in to 50 Chinook, but we all took a big Chinook home, and there were high 5’s all around.

Awesome man !!! . You know , I pestered my buddy over and over to get out there last year and told him how we were missing out on the best fishery we would ever see or should say catch in a lifetime. But the stubborn old fart wouldn’t budge. I almost jumped in my 14 princecraft and went myself but well , I guess I’m still alive today and didn’t take the chance. Hopefully there will be another opportunity in the years to come . Cheers

4 Rod, Triple Header ???? What are you 2 guys Meat fisherman or Sportsman ? I see your catch and releasing most of them, but isn't the point of Sportfishing to enjoy Catching and Playing the fish. Or are you just trying to see how many Springs you can harass.

not a big fan of catching and releasing that many fish. how many died later on or had eyes poked out etc? for me I feel better catching a few and calling it good.
