This is a perfect example of a large company not knowing their market. I bet the woke have not bought these books in the past, and will not in the future. Unless it’s a marketing stunt, in which case it is genius. A lot of people will rush out and buy a set of old copies for each of their grandchildren (including unborn), and then due to public demand they will change them back. A bit like Barbecue Shapes a couple of years back. Sold heaps as they ran out the old ones, sold heaps when people wanted to see just how bad the new ones were, sold heaps when they brought the old ones back.

Perhaps, maybe??, there is the faintest glimmer of hope, to defeat the no-name woke sensors of the world. Its all we have left nowadays. There will still be original copies and original artwork for the Roald Dahl books. As I understand it, the publisher is acting as the gate keeper for the censored versions which would be destined to go out in paper form, as conventional books. All we need to do is figure out how, to publish the original un molested versions to www, where they could be purchased as e versions, by those who want the right to chose what the read, rather than being dictated to by a handful of interfering busy bodies. Which would hopefully keep it out of the reach of the do gooders. Either that, or, harass the publisher to offer two versions, concurrently, the original much loved version, and the new cleansed and sanitized version, and see which version sells, and which one falters and fails. It would be interesting to revisit that outcome in three years time, if it ever came to pass.

How can you claim Roald Dahl wrote it if you change everything about the original book it's clearly a different book it's like changing an entire script in a Disney film and still claim it was produced by Disney
