Great work! As the owner of a rusty , water cooled converted '73, this will help me when the time comes. As far as that radiator goes, use the biggest fucking radiator you can fit it there! You'll be glad you did when your climbing a hill on a hot day in the summer, far from home!

A rotisserie is a must for comfort doing the work, I have a 64 Crew Cab on one now and being able to rotate at will with one hand is a must, I can raise the rotisserie to rotate 360 degrees but i don't find it as comfortable as a little lower and rotate side to side. Of course, I am old and worn out myself.

Hi I stopped when I saw you cutting your new windshield seal , I had just put in my new glass with a new seal, i had a leak, i just pulled the glass out in reverse order minus the rope, came right out. Now back to the vlog! it must be awesome working on a rotesery! I cant beleive how you flip it and drag it all by your self! Nice repair on the frame rail, cant wait to see how that Subi goes in! Im still amazed how you did the harness, genius !!

👌Hey buddy, you've come a long way, great to see this bay taking shape, lovely to see you not using weld through primers, thus having no issues with your welding quality, primers and rust preventers can be applied later, well done buddy..

It's coming along great!! As a suggestion before you remove it from rotisserie, after you paint the underside, get some eastwood internal frame coating (it has rust converting components) and coat inside those frame rails. Then, get body cavity wax, and coat the inside again over the eastwood product. It will just be additional rust prevention for the future. There are a bunch of YT channels that have restored vehicles and used both. Your welding has really improved. Can't wait to see it running and driving with the subi engine.

Looking good 🎉 that same cross member is dented in on my bus as well but I am just leaving it for now. It’s not too bad. High centered on a boulder. My heater boxes were dented and ripped open but I patched those. The po must have been off roading🎉

Every time I see your rotisserie I want to make one for myself. Too bad I installed a roof rack on my 73 today, and had to modify it to not have rails or else it would not fit in the garage. This means I also discovered I do not currently have the space to use a rotisserie 😥

I have a 63 split window and did pretty much everything you have done on your bus, probably even more ! lol. one suggestion for your bus I would recommend spending a few hundred dollars to sand blast the entire under bus, it will be like new and make your job so much easier, after all the work you have done why not finish it with a presitine finish? way easier now than later

Hi great videos, I know it's been done before with water cooled converted bay window buses, but have you considered front mounting the radiator in a 4x4 spare wheel carrier, in a wheel shaped frame and grill panel. much better cooling, and not out of place on most vw combi's and buses.

Hello! Greetings from Brazil. There is no need to cut the rubber on the windshield. From inside the vehicle you can release the windshield and push the rubber. And repurposing it, unless it's really old, which doesn't seem to be the case.

That's not a rotisserie, a rotisserie rotates around a central axis, you have a rollover jig, that (as the name suggests!!) rolls over......😁
