Hi, Alan Robertson here, got out for the today in derrybawn Co Wicklow for the first time in about 30 years. Had the mountain to myself. Couldn't find a place to camp, all bog Amazing feeling achieving my goal. Monday was a brilliant day, buzzing.

Super informative. I'm thinking about this or a cloud up 2 ul👍 ..but because I'm a grammar naz! A guyline is a rope or cable that is affixed to the ground under tension in order to hold up and add stability to a structure such as a tent, mast or pole. Guyline is sometimes spelled with a hyphen, guy-line, or as two words, guy line. Synonyms are guywire, guy-wire, guy wire, guyrope, guy-rope, guy rope, or simply, guy. Guy comes from the Old French word guie, meaning a guide. A guideline is a rule or standard by which one chooses a course of action or makes a judgement. The word guideline comes into the English language in 1785, to mean a line marked on a surface before cutting. Its use in a figurative sense doesn’t come about until 1948. ...sorry😞

I have this tent and it's super easy to pitch with loads of space. I do really like it. I have had a guyline loop sawn in either side and also on the front vent. I used a bit of the strap from the bag and it cost me 8 quid from a local sawing shop. But I wish it would have come from vango already done.

The trouble is with the Xenon is there once was a better, lighter version it was the F10 Nitro Lite 200 which I have weighing just 1.48kg! It has a better orange inner which I much prefer. I also have the 200+ which weighs 1.76kg - Once upon a time Vango made amazing tents.

Brilliant Martin, love your videos, great to see your love for the outdoors 🤘. Im new enough to the hiking and loving it, my next step is to get a stove and have been looking at the PocketRocket stove.. would you recommend? Staying in a tent will come eventually haha 😅 keep up the vids 🤘😎

Great review, cheers. Looking for a 4th season 2 man tent but not sure this is the one for me. Got the mongar 2, and love it. But its mesh inner, and cold. Leaning towards the lanshan 2.

Hey Ger. I totally understand the tent-shopping dilemma! 😅 For three-season camping, consider the REI Half Dome 2 Plus or the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2. They offer a good balance of durability, weather protection, and ease of setup. Its a rabbit hole Ger and happy to help you in any way I can. 🏕️🌞😊

@@soletrailI recently bought the Forclaz mt900 trekking pole tent bit not put it through its paces yet. Hoping to in the next week or two. I'd actually love the x-mid but just wish there was a European stockist to save on fees. One day, hopefully. 🙂

I brought the bike, got past the gate, hid it. The surface (I'd like to think) is banjaxed, must have been the lovely rains. But it was all worth it. Some views, watched a band of rain pass me, thankfully. Sheep galore. Thanks for the idea.

It's a good tent, but those vents - the absence of any means of keeping them open - really let it down. There are simple ways to solve this, but Vango don't seem to make ventilation a priority IME.

Not being able to keep the front vent open is annoying. Why don’t they just sew in a plastic prop/arm to keep it open. Otherwise I may be tempted.

Good review other than the modern fail of calling guylines “guide lines”. Where and when did this modern disease start?! They are guylines. You guy a tent out. Nice tent though, I have the Helium 2 and not enough reviews on these Vango F10 series tents. Guylines!
