At 8:36 I went to the mall today to specifically test Vanille Antique... and you are exactly right, it's very similar to MFK "Grand Soir" yet is significantly more expensive. I'm glad I didn't blind but VA as I already own GS. 😊

Love vanilla in fragrances, but big NO for me, I was very interested in sampling this one but I trust your nose and after watching the review it's very clear that I don't need it. I try to avoid the: Very close to... or the You smell this before... 😬 Thanks for the Samplin' Marc!!!

I’ve tested this one 3 times. First: it’s like brown food coloring, so no white shirts. Two: it’s very basic vanilla which was sad. Three: if it were $120, sure, but it’s not. So I’m still no Byredo on my collectionS

Interesting play by Byredo. Really hoped the plum note would overtake my current fave by Scent of Woods “Plum & Cognac”. Sounds like it was good but not good enough for a spot on my interested list

Im a huge fan of SDV as well. Its somehow magical in cooler weather. Ive smelled other scents that claim to be dupes, but none have the magic. To me.

People still come into this space with the wrong set of mind. They hear performance as in loud and about but I've always tend to like more closer to skin with wiffs coming in and out. Longevity of course longer the better but loudness...not what it's cracked up to be.

I actually bought it months ago, it's in the queue to be unboxed. In typical robes08 styles I blind bought it so I can't tell you what I think yet but you'll see it unboxed on my channel!

@@robes08 Can’t wait! It’s absolutely beautiful. I get a ton of plum in my formulation (March 2022 batch). I’ve tried a clone of Plum Japonais and it definitely draws some similarities to it, but it’s entirely different as well. Vanille fatale has a balsamic note (probably from a mix of the barley and myrrh), boozy vanilla and plum. You’re gonna love it! 😄

That's weird. This sounds like Bibliotetch by the same house. It's supposed to smell like a library. It has plum up front, no sneaking, Woods, & supposed to have the smell of book paper. I don't get book paper, nor Do I get vanilla. I was looking for a classy plum that I could get away with during the summer, so it was full bottle worthy for me

Never smelled this and although this profile is a bit overdone, I enjoy it. I personally think grand soir is seriously overrated in terms of recognition and is a straight up lavender bomb that I can’t get jiggy with. Maybe if I wore more proper attire. 🪻💩💣
