More episodes like this showing basic coin, card, slights please. Most of the people that have been watching your channel for a while are ready to move to more complex techniques like this that are basic, but really open the doors for some awesome tricks. Just my opinion. Great episode.

my mistake? well when i was going to perform the final act were you make the coin seemingly disappear, i pretended to swallow it just out of impulse, it only occoured to me after id swallowed that i actually had the coin in my hand and had literally swallowed the coin, you dont know constipation until you try passing a australian 50 cent

When ever i preform any magic tricks they go perfectly well and everyone is amazed, but for some strange reason when ever i show them to my dad they fail miserably and im left there with nothing to do...

After watching this hundreds of times and practicing forever (a minute) I decided to show my sister. After fumbling through the trick I threw the coin on her bed and she picked it up and it shocked her. She thinks the first part was just a way to build up static charge and has been trying to duplicate it

I took 2 identical coins and planted one in my friends hoodie, then I did the trick

haha the outtake was hilarious! Great tip Brian! One of the simplest things in magic by design (slight of hand), but one of the hardest to pull off.

i was going to do this trick for my little sister and when i went to do the "Yoink" i forgot i was wearing gym shorts and did' t have back pockets

The french drop. My favorite improv trick for kids. Make that coin disappear and then reappear behind their ear for the best kid smiles and reactions.

Love this kind of tutorial. Didn't have any change in my pocket but did have a box of old coins I picked up at a local coin shop, gotta say that a British Shilling or old 1 Pence piece is an excellent coin to practice with.

Once you master the French drop you can incorporate it into so many different tricks as many coin vanishes use it. Another variation is to reach in a pocket for your "magic wand" (and say that's what your reaching for) then simply drop the coin in the pocket as you grab the wand. Another is changing a coin to a different coin. It takes a little practice to do it without them touching and making noise. Have a penny palmed in the top hand(the one making the grab) then perform the French drop with a quarter and make the ditch in the pocket. Open your hand and it will appear the quarter was changed to a penny.

Hey Brian Brushwood the trick would be better if you have a deck of cards. You have to force a card of choice and have a identical card folded up in your pocket and the make the switch in the middle of the trick. and they will be amazed. true fan! awsumm... i already knew this one, but the first few times i did this trick i also did the moves after the french drop wrong xD. I faced with my body the wrong way. And there was a time when i forgot to to the french drop XD. and there i was with a coin in my hand after i said it was gone. Awesome vid brian! Keep it up

I didn't know about the "drop," so when I would do this trick for daughter when she was younger, I would use my thumb to slide the quarter between my middle and ring fingers far enough to hide it from palm view. With the quarter visible on the back side of my hand, I would just keep my palm facing forward as I held my hands up to show they were "empty." Her face would light up, and she would just be amazed. Then I would put my hands back together, relaxing the grip on the quarter to allow it to drop into my cupped hand underneath. BAMM! The quarter reappeared! I just blew a there year old's mind. It only works on little kids, or maybe really drunk adults.
