5 vans, 6 vanlife folk and 5 dogs - all caravanning in a national forest in Arkansas to experience one of the most INCREDIBLE events ... the total SOLAR ECLIPSE. This trip was one for the books. This was our first off-road trip in the van & BOY were we nervous but it was 100000% worth it. Great company, great views, GREAT EXPERIENCE. We hope you enjoyed your time with us all the way through - starting with the hot springs @ bathhouse row & finishing in the forest. Arkansas...WE LOVE YA (:
Who are we?
Hey Guys! We are Ryan, Mary & Cisco. We have hit the road in our converted Ram Promaster van in pursuit of seeing this beautiful world & making lifelong memories together. We started this journey in our first RV; a Thor Four Winds 28A. However, we recently decided to switch over to a van. We felt it was the best decision for us & better fits our purpose for life on the road. We sold our home in Maryland, started renting out our townhouse, somehow fit EVERYTHING we own into a 10x15 storage unit & embraced full-time RV life & NOW - van life! We are starting with traveling the States & would love to push it even further. We feel so blessed & thank the good Lord for this opportunity to see, learn and experience brand new places in our home-on-wheels. We would love to have you along for the journey...to laugh with us, cry with us, celebrate with us and, of course, fail & pick up the pieces with us. It made me cry seeing your reactions because that is exactly how I felt when it happened. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my lifetime...and I'm old. LOL You are all young enough that you will get to see it again when it comes around in 2049. It is something everyone should see at least once though. How lucky you all were to experience it with friends at such a lovely location.

So I saw the solar eclipse also from Texas. It was really cool but well I was watching you guys. I know the dark haired bearded guy “lol“ might appreciate this thought. Imagine you were there 2000 years ago you’re working in your field trying to bring in some corn for your family to last through the winter and all of a sudden the sky grows dark there are people around you. What do you do?

So you were a little over a mile down the dirt road? We went 3 miles back just outside Helen Ga and my wife was loosing her mind 😂 I told her it would be fine. Turned out to be a nice campground maintained by the National Forest. I noticed how crisp it got outside that day. Kinda weird. Crisp is a good way to describe it. 🌖 you had a much better experience than I did in Maryland though. I see Mary has a Blue crabs ⚾️ sweatshirt. My department does all the EMS standbys for the games 😊

I can’t remember exactly but I think it was like 2-3 miles on that crappy part of the road but a total of 8+ plus miles up that mountain lol. Oh really? That’s awesome. Where are you from and live now?
