Thanks. I liked the video. I was lost for a bit - I only have the piece that is vent mounted. I understand what you are saying about the rugged plastic deflecting heat away from your phone. 👍🏻 On the flip side, doesn’t that mean the heat (or AC) also is deflected away from the driver - which is the intended target? Thanks.

I've tried that before, but the Phone will almost always overheat in the Summer Time, its also too much video to record and takes up too much space. Instead I got a Rexing V1 Dashcam that does loop recording for basically a rolling 3 day window for the Video - amzn.to/384znEd

So that "ball" connection does loosen over time, what I do is put those grippy shelf liner, very little bit in the ball, before I screw it tight, that keeps it in place for basically over 2+ yrs for me using that tip

the most important thing about phone car holders is the capability of hanging on the textured dash. I know they have pads, maybe some of them but in the videos should be tried this option rather than talking about it. therefore, this video was not good at all. the vent mounts are rubbish as it is not cool and right to use them because of heat and cold coming from the vent even when the vent is closed.

You’re blocking one of your heat vents, not to mention, how warm your phone is getting, sitting directly in front of the heat, which possibly can not be good for your phone? Dash mounted, is definitely the way to go.

Funny you mention that. In Florida it's better in a vent for the ac. It keeps the phone temperature nice and cool 😎
