@@TeddyGreyOS And we are a fan of yours, Teddy. Not because you follow & react to VannDa because anyone can do that and many have. But with you, you don’t just react… you genuinely “listen” and try to decipher the philosophical messages and lessons in his music. We always have deep meanings sometimes too deep for the average person. Layers on top of layers is the best way I can explain it. It’s like you think you understand what he’s trying to convey the first time and then after listening to it a 2nd, 3rd, or 8th time… you pick up more layers and interpret the meaning another way that really gets you thinking. I truly believe it takes an intellect to figure some of the Khmer poetry out but you manage to do quite well with it. Much props to you, Teddy. Translations don’t do justice for Khmer philosophy, which is always used in our music and stories. It just never translates the way it should and often times loses some of its value and meaning so you don’t get that full shock, awakening, or enlightenment. It’s hard to do what VannDa does and he does it so effortlessly. His hardships played a huge role in his artistry and execution. The kid is talented in every way no doubt. He’s truly a one of a kind. I come from the Tupac, NWA, WuTang, Dr Dre, Easy E, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Biggy, and Bone Thugs era… so I am well versed in the rap game myself and I must say… VannDa, he is different… in an extraordinary way. And I’m not saying this because I’m Khmer like him, but because I’ve listened to a lot of other Khmer rappers in the past and present and I can attest that I don’t know any Khmer rapper like VannDa… or any Asian rapper for that matter. Sure, there may be a few who sound like him but they can’t produce and deliver and/or tap into our emotions like him. VannDa is just VannDa and everything about him is real including his rap name which is his real name. You don’t hear that often in the rap game or even in the music industry in general. In Cambodia, it’s even harder to ‘come up’ from the bottom so it’s a massive accomplishment in itself, even if he didn’t succeed outside of Cambodia. Just the fact that he’s made it this big already in Cambodia speaks volumes of his name and existence. I’ve watched a lot of reactors, and there are very few that I consider ‘big league’ and you’re one of them. Why you don’t have more subscribers is beyond me. But I have a strong suspicion that the algorithms are not in your favor. I got my friends watching reactors too (many subscribed to you) and none of them have came across any of your videos in their feed despite having subscribed to you. They have to manually type your YT name in the search every time. However, there are other smaller YT channels that consistently pop up in their feed as well as mine… that we are not subscribed to. Isn’t that strange? Anyway, when I don’t see you in my feed for awhile, I manually search for you instead. You have my support and you deserve to reach 6 digits soon. Sorry for the rant. I just now realized how crazy long it is. 😭🙏🏼🙈
