I brought both the 340 and 440. At first I got a 340 learned the hobby a bit, then I upgraded to the 440. It has all the same as the 540 except blacklight and Bluetooth. I'll be using this machine until I upgrad to a nox. But that will be in a couple years I think. The 440 is great to do any type of hunt. I've found gold 8" deep on a old baseball field and I've also taken it to the beach and found tons of coins. Great machine.

i got a vanquish 340 off craigslist for $60. 👍👍👍👍. then found the V12 coil on ebay for $89 plus shipping. all total $168. the guy was frustrated with it. he said do you how to use one of these. i reached into my truck and pulled out my nox 700. and gave him $$$ took it home.

Hi i purchased a 340 vanquish is this detector suited to pick up gold as i am new to this sort of stuff and i will be mainly focusing on gold detecting here in nsw

What about the two settings for iron bias on the 540 vanquish? You didn't even mention that?????

I've got the 340 now a couple of days, I'm not shure abouth it. I jused to the tesoro compadre. the 340 make 's 2 different noises, very confusing. I need to get used to it.

The 340 and 440 doesn't have the adjustable iron bias either.

got the 540 pro pack its great in emi and avoids pull tabs and bottle caps but it loves nails and like the at pro has a hard time locking on and identifying deeper targets my deus is still the best choice for what I do lighter faster better target separation you get what you pay for thanks for the video the vanquish is a good machine and a keeper but not my favorite but a close second

Spot on. I have a 440, my friend has a Deus and I usually end up getting him to give me a second opinion on targets because his discrimination is so much better - he saves me from doing a lot of fruitless digging! That's the biggest downside with these budget machines, they generally do a good job but you end up digging a lot of crap.

I have the 440, the depth indicator goes down to 25cm so it's probably around that or slightly deeper in relic mode

You do get a waterproof control box cover with it though, so not a problem really

The simplex is all but useless in wet salt beach sand, only good in fresh water a dry land
