I had never stumbled upon Sulphur Aeon before, but I am so fucking happy I finally did. As a Lovecraft and metal fan they fill perfectly that spot, with atmospheric rifts suited for the theme, amazing vocals and lyrics, oozing with cosmic dread. The Outer Gods would be really pleased with this music if they heard it.

The dread and tension they build is perfect, alongside with brutality. A true masterpiece.

Despite what others may say, I think clean vocals is a nice addition to overall performance. They sound unusual, yes, but they are only used with perfect timing - no more, no less. Re-listening to the album for the 5th time already, it keeps getting better.

These guys absolutely didn't need to improve, but improve they did! "Lungs into gills" is monstrously good.

Only downside to this is that it won't get the recognition it deserves from various publications and so on, because it came out this late in the year. Fucking amazing work yet again!

This is absolutely mind-blowing. I have been a fan of Sulphur Aeon since their first album, and this album yet again shows just how awesome this band is. It is really a masterpiece, I can't stop listening to it! I'll definitely buy this album next week.

one of the best albums i heard in a long long time. every riff is in place, very dark atmosphere, interesting writing. anything you want of a Death/black album.

Sulphur Aeon just calmly release AOTY near the end of it and then disappear back into the murky depths!

their best yet. they stayed true to their sound while experimenting in small doses... some more midtempo or even longer songs, a few clean vocals, really great album!

Imagine declaring AOTY before hearing this masterpiece, definitely a shame it came out so close to the end of the year because it is only going to get a fraction of the attention it deserves now. However, I've listened to 50+ albums this year and never have I made an easier choice for AOTY after hearing this one. Absolute masterpiece.

Preordered it yesterday and now I find this treat by them on Facebook. Can't wait for it to release, arrive and blast the brain out of my neighbors. \m/
