I agree with his pick of king bowser to be fair. Gusty garden is legendary, but its a bit overdone now. This song actually feels like a boss fight instead of some playdate like some other bossthemes in the series and i love it for that.

Just because the main theme is iconic it doesn't make it objectively the best song in that game. I can think of plenty of songs from the rest of the series that I like much better.

Honestly, the Galaxy Intro theme, the File Select Screen music, and the Star Festival theme are my top 3 choices. But Super Mario Galaxy is just that kind of game. Super Mario 3D Land, and New Super Mario Bros. 2 I definitely agree with

The credits theme for Super Mario Galaxy is phenomenal. So beautiful and gives me so much nostalgia and tears of joy. The feeling of finally 100% completing the game after 8 years made me so overjoyed and made me look fondly of the memories.

For Galaxy, I'm really partial to the theme for when you wake up on the tiny introductory/tutorial planet at the very start of the game (just after Bowser steals the castle). Especially when you get the little additional accompaniment when you start chasing the star bunny.

One very underrated track from SM3DW is World 6. My GOD what a banger. I've made extensions of it in my head to make dozens of different songs just with the same base. It's kinda short, yes, but it has this sense of wonder and adventure, like you're finally near the end, that no other track in the game matches

Really, really solid choices! Almost seemed like my own choices haha! I especially agree with the choices for Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Super Mario, SM64, New Super Mario Bros DS, NSMBW, Super Mario Galaxy (though I prefer a lot of their calmer tracks) Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario World. The others I would definitely agree on but I'm not too familiar with their OSTs lol

I personally don’t have gusty gardens as my no. 1, but I do like it though. I probably would’ve put Bowser’s Road on here over King Bowser, but to me it’s to common and cliche for GG to always be listed as no.1 and I think the orchestration for King Bowser is better and more interesting to me from my background in playing an instrument (tuba).

imma be honest I watched this entire video purely to know what your pick for the best song in super Mario 3-D land was, because it’s the Mario game. I played most as a kid because that’s what I had on my DS, and special world eight has always been my favorite Mario song ever. Seeing it as your pick made the whole video worth it and you have gained yourself a follower.

loved this list, differs from my opinion but respected them sm nonetheless as they were great picks. I'd have chosen gusty garden somewhere and chosen the main theme for nsmbw or choose that for honourable mention, but those are already appreciated or the credits for sm64, but the credits for smw2 yoshi's island and the shop theme for nsmb2 were things I never knew existed and love them both now so tyvm

I personally love how dire dire docks starts very calm and then the beat starts slowly settling in. The song basically hypes you up and it's overall really unique. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but i can definitely see why someone would have it as such

For me I always remember the first time I heard the final fight music in Super Mario Galaxy and it's still my favourite from the game to this day, although Gusty Gardens and the credits music are also amazing songs for me.

To me the best track in SMG1 will always be Space Junk Galaxy, with an honourable mention for Gateway Galaxy, but honestly with Galaxy you can't go wrong with any piece.

Hold on... nah, the best song in Super Mario World is the Castle theme, it's the greatest castle tune in the entire series Yoshi's Island's best is the Athletic theme How can Sunshine's not be Platforms are Plenty (the smb dooh remix) As overused as Gusty Garden Galaxy is, I think it rivals King Bowser Galaxy 2 has to be Bowser's Galaxy Generator I'm conflicted for the Mario Maker 2 choice Bowser's Fury has got to be, well, Fury Bowser's theme Wonder is Piranha Plants on Parade, obviously

I can get behind most of these choices but the Super Mario Galaxy one was poverty - that soundtrack has so many bangers like 'Super Mario Galaxy' - (the song), Egg Planet, Wind Garden, (obviously comet observatory like you included), stardust road, and honeybee kingdom

(I hope that everyone knows what I mean because I'm not this good at naming soundtracks): SMB1: Castle Theme SMB2: Credits Theme SMB3: Athletic Theme SML: World 4 SMW: Underwater Theme SML2: The music that plays in the last level when you're on the way to Wario SM64: Credits Theme SMS: Pinna Park (the version which plays in the Park) NSMB: Underwater Theme SMG: Space Junk Galaxy NSMBW and NSMBU: Lava Theme (this soundtrack is in both games the same so I counted both to one) SMG2: Puzzle Plank Galaxy SM3DL: Main Theme (in the clockwork version) NSMB2: World Flower SM3DW: Airship Theme SMM: SMB1 Airship Style SMO: Lake Lamode SMM2: SMB1 Snow Style BF: Lake Lapcat (I mean with that the theme which plays if it's day and you don't go to a certain area) This video is a bit older but I also want to write about my favorite Track from Super Mario Bros. Wonder which is the Main Theme.

It’s criminal that King Bowser was chosen for SMG when there are SO many amazing tracks in that game. Gusty Garden, Good Egg, Intro Theme, Star Festival, Comet Observatory, Storybook Theme. Any of those would have been acceptable 💀

honestly I thought the overworld theme for Super Mario 3D Land was going to be there. However Special World 8 is a very good choice I love that world theme.

Dire Docks almost stands far above the rest for me but they are all so good. Musicians are crazy. New Super Mario DS as a game is a true underrated gem of a classic up there with Mario World, don't at me

Gusty Garden shouldve been for galaxy, with Buoy Base as an honerable mention, or vice versa. They're basically on par with each other
