I honestly wish this would happen with a lot of celebrities but yeah, especially Pedro Pascal. The amount of people defending the “daddy” culture as if Pedro should be grateful because that’s all he’s getting in terms in fame and celebration in the comments, is honestly upsetting. They need to let hat joke go, and let Pedro express how he feels about his career and history without it being filled Daddy shit. It gets annoying really fast and I feel bad for him, hence why I try not to bring it up whenever I’m doing anything associated with him. (Not that I’m working with him)

Hey Variety, that's the title you're going with after all that he's accomplished so far this year? Pedro is and will always be the Mandalorian and the creators hired Pedro knowing that his face would not be shown that much, because that was the essence of Din Djarin. Pedro accepted the role knowing this as well. And guess what? That allowed Pedro to accept the leading role of his career- Joel Miller in TLOU.

It's also important to acknowledge the person inside the suit though. The mannerisms play a large role in the portrayal of the character. The title's not necessarily wrong, he wasn't in the suit for a lot of season 3, it was a collaborated effort

He established the mannerisms from season one and two. The stunt doubles have always received their credit. No need to keep with these type headlines, as if Pedro or Jon Favreau have ever tried to hide the fact that Pedro is not always in the suit. They have acknowledged that fact since season one.

Goodness, I love this guy. He is incredible and seems like he has a great sense of humour. I love that he has this youthful, warm and gentle energy about him. I think I would feel really safe, seen and heard around him. I just hope that he is surrounded by people who make him feel that way in real life. Future Oscar winner for sure!

Pedro is so articulate! And his passion (!!!) for movies, acting for a good story, and genuine admiration for actors, directors, and writers is so authentic. Makes me want to rewatch or watch for the first time, these movies/TV shows he loves.

Performing and acting is clearly in Pedge's DNA. His mind goes to great depth to pull out answers to questions he has, it seems, never even contemplated and watching that incremental process is the most enriching expose, from a fan's perspective. As a fan, my heart is full to burst with happiness at his continued success. And, as at 21.6.23 he is nominated in 3 Emmy categories. Feeling it.

I really appreciate the interviewer, Clayton Davis, for asking interesting questions and then giving Pedro the space to develop his answers as he responded. This is now my favorite sit-down with Pedro! BUT - the title of this interview is disappointing and poorly chosen! It diminishes the overall value of the interview and all the effort that Pedro and everyone else working on The Mandalorian clearly puts into every episode.

I know right! Especially after watching this, a meaningful conversation, he said a lot of great stuff about his craft yet they reduced it to a sensational quote for toxic star wars fans to be mad about.

Honestly the interviewer was cringe in a few moments during the interview, which also speaks to the title of the video and I agree diminishes the overall value and delivery of the interview. Yes Pedro fully answered the questions and was completely engaging but the interviewer pestered and pried more than once on various topics and questions. Pedro even early on is like LET IT GO dude regarding the character of Joel in TLOU2

I’m really unsure how spoiling a major plot point to a beloved video game (in addition to an upcoming season to a running TV show) is “not a spoiler” It just feels like a dismissal of video games as a medium, and a disrespect to future viewers of the second season of the show.

I COMPLETELY agree. They stayed so true to season one. For people who didn’t want to play game two before seeing it on the show that’s going to be a MASSIVE spoiler. such a disappointment, especially for him to say “this isn’t a spoiler” and then completely spoil it.

Agreed, "different animal"? Maybe 30 years ago, nowadays games have as elaborate stories as tv shows & other forms of media, so that was a MASSIVE spoiler for the unaware audience. I played it, but it's a bummer for folks that don't know.

The game has been out for a good while. It happens. I knew and I haven't played the game. It can't really be a spoiler when it is very possible to play it differently in season 2 of the show
