A review of Vario Cordura Nylon Zulu Straps. The straps are worth a try if you are looking for something extra durable and stylish. Although I personally do not like the fit and feel of the two piece Cordura leather strap, I do like and recommend the one piece nylon zulu strap. #watchstrap #strapreview #varioeveryday #watchreview

Cool. Yeah I’m a fan of the brand generally, and in this case the one piece. Good strap overall.

I've noticed the issue during the design stage and had the choice of putting a wider keeper or going with the same width keeper. Finally decided to keep the same but I'll send out a newsletter to gather feedbacks for these and see if I can improve on it.

I figured it was because the parts were the same and thus the same size of keeper on both. Does the 24mm use the same? Because that would be even tighter. Personally, I think the best improvement on the leather would be curved design so it fits more variety of cases...it’s mostly because the leather is over the nylon so it’s extra thick at the lugs. Loving the one piece :) Enjoyable process as always.

A pair of curved spring bars would easily solve the fit issue on the two piece strap.

I agree. Didn't have any spares of those laying around though. The leather and canvas are quite sturdy, so they'd have to be worked a little to help the curve, and the bars would need to be fairly sturdy. I really should buy a box of various curved bars...

how do you recognize a cordura fabric?

would be hard by looks I suppose. Somewhat by feel, though thickness can depend. Age and use are other variables. A lot of canvas straps tend to fray over time. Cordura is less likely to do so.
