Nice Interview with the YOUTH ICON Varun. Anupama asked interesting questions. The Interview was a good mix of fun with little intensity. The part where Varun talked about Badlapur was very interesting. Seems like Badlapur depressed him mentally and he was in a different zone. David ji was so sweet and awesome. He was right that sadly today success is everything in any field. David&Varun are the BEST COMEDY JODI! Just missed one thing - the mention of the ORIGINAL JUDWAA Salman Khan

It looks like ranveer took his acting classes more passionately and seriously while at film school as compared to varun. Both are mad,energitic charged up and hyper,who appear a bit naive somewhere within, but ranveer at the core does seem more clear-headed, with a better grip, being more aware of his job, more professionally into it and having had developed a mature perspective about pursuing acting very early on. He good in his first film, was great in lootera and again in bajirao. he also did lesser amount of shit as compared varun, and has had his ambition,refernce models to look at and everything sorted out and did seem in place. It however seems the complete opposite for varun. Of what i ve amassed of varun from after watching a few of his films and his interviews is that, he has that brimming passion within him, that charm which is evident and thinks well as one can make out from interviews, there's that dark horse somewhere within him, to make it big, and take things by storm dealing his characters to great measure of excellence. He somehow seems professionally imbalanced, it can be clearly made out from his interviews, he doesn't know where he begins and where he ends. he needs to sort it out with respect to his craft, focus better upon working with it and being more hungry and ambitious towards quality, frame it better from within with respect to acting and most importantly ditch this masala genre for a while and do only concept or content driven films. It should be about keeping the child within him alive, but adding focus and taste for flair and quality angle to that as compared to the gym, workout,chilling,abs,and some intlelligent content just to be part of the new age wave of cinema followers which takes the precedence in his case. Having said so, certainly not a pro trying to make statements about him or trying to pretend rolling out pieces of advice, this is just my observation, and more fundamentally to serve as basis to contradict the general perception about him that he is the next salman or a worthless overacting trash as people make out. Though momentarily an empty mass with no depth, in the long run I see this guy as anything other than that, he can still change his track,pursue stuff better, start looking at things in a more refines way, work and make it as good as ranbir or ranveer in reputation.There is that aspect to him, that spark which does let itself to be seen at times. Even at the moment,along with being the product of nepotism that he is, he is still clearly ahead of his other contemporaries such as sidharth malhotra,arjun kapoor,aditya roy kapoor,tiger shroff and the likes. A bit more restrain and underplay, becoming more aware in sensitivity with respect to the scenes and feelings as the character, and cultivating slightly better able to use his eyes better will instantly catapult him to a different league and can settle him as an actor of reputation.

Disappointed that bad movies, bad scripts, bad humor, over(energetic)acting, hamming, loudness and reused songs... is encouraged by good interviewers. Maybe they need to run their channel and show, so it's a compulsion. Movies like Judwaa hardly have any cinematic or creative content to be analyzed in a 30 min+ interview! Hence, you are compelled to ask actors, questions about their careers, journeys etc. The same old boring interview stuff and self-flattery - not to mention, it's all planned and designed for the Channel! Judwas and Golmals find their audiences and mint money for the producers and for the industry, that's it! We need such movies so that more money gets pumped in the system for Masaans, Newtons and other good, creative stuff to be made. What is there to analyze in that? Do box office numbers relate to good content? Please ask people who watched tortures like Dhoom-3 and Dilwale. And to top it all, these people defend bad content in such interviews, almost like seeking great validation. I wonder who exactly is clapping there? Did the audience members really decide to waste their time on this interview? Or maybe watching the eye-candy VD, was the only reason.

Varun tries too hard to sound intelligent and behaves as if all his films are worth being nominated to Oscars. He is the next Salman Khan for sure! :) The most bankable actor among the current lot. Judwaa 2 is predicted to be one of the biggest hits of the year. The only movies worth waiting for this year are Secret Superstar, Padmavati & Tumhari Sulu.
