I was diagnosed with GPA with Vasculitis and im no longer on prednisone but was put on Rituxin and i receive infusions every 6 months. My question is will vitamin D interfere with the Rituxin ?

We do not know of any evidence that Vitamin D interferes with Rituxan. In fact having normal levels of Vitamin D may help Rituxan work. There is some evidence from a research study done on lymphoma patients receiving Rituxan that being deficient in Vitamin D may mean the Rituxan doesn't work as well www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5773978/#:~:text=In%20vitro%20data%20suggest%20that,(DLBCL)%20not%20otherwise%20specified. HOWEVER, it is important not to begin taking any supplement without consulting with your doctor and you may not need a vitamin D supplement unless you are deficient in vitamin D.

I had 6+ strokes, lost the most after the 3rd stroke. I had a group of doctors who finally diagnosed vasculitis cerebral. It took my neurologist going for a hunt on the internet where he found a pill being used in France’s National healthcare records. That pill stopped the strokes, but too late. I later was given mega quantities of vitamin D for a while, because I tested very low. I no longer take the mega doses…My daily dose is lower now. After watching this, I wonder if low D was a factor in my multiple strokes, and some other things. Thanks for your channel, and info.
