I grew up in Glastonbury UK, from the age of 2-7 years old. I remember hearing this song once when I was 6, not knowing the name for years, until a few years ago I discovered it randomly and it brought all the nostalgia back. I associate my childhood with this song. The innocence of life, walking through the fields, the flowers the streams, the ambiance of Glastonbury. The smells of the incense burning in all the shops as I hopped up the high street. I miss being that age again. I miss not having a care in the world.

Everytime I feel disjointed from or frustrated by my homeland of England, I listen to this song. It has always, for me, encapsulated that which is most beautiful about this country. A far cry from London, celebrity culture and Brexit negotiations is the gorgeous provincial countryside. Sun, trees, wildlife and my dog.

A character in the new movie Fremont just sang this song during a karaoke segment and I was so moved and charmed. Hearing the original, by the original artist is even more charming. Maybe other Americans grew up hearing this song, but I certainly did not, so I'm a little jealous of the commenters who grew up with this song. How lovely!
