Vault Engine (REWRITTEN) Devlog | REMAKE FROM SCRATCH OVERVIEW

Күн бұрынHello People, for these past months I've been working on rewriting my game engine from SCRATCH, Everything shown here has been re-coded from scratch and is a completely different thing from the old devlogs.
So far, the features i got working are:
- C# Scripting
- Hot reloading on C# Scripting
- Shadow Mapping
- Skeletal Animations (It's a little broken on some parts but if it isn't animated correctly its mostly solved by going in blender, importing the model and then just exporting it)
- Windows & Linux Builds
- Game builds
Currently the feautres I'll be working on are:
- Custom shaders
- C# Fields
- Mouse Picking
- Bloom

i kinda wanna use this in future, it should be added like lot of features. but problem was, i can't modify your engine, like scripting functions. like, Raycast like Unity and Godot, Discord RPC, Controller Support, Character Controller like Slopes, Viewport Thingy, Particle System, and Recast Navigation, it's just a complicated to modify your engine.

It's still in development, its not finished AT ALL its also open source & you can directly modify the C# API code to suit the way you want it to be? I don't find it difficult to modify it at this moment

Well ive been developing it since Aug 17th 2022 but i started remaking it from scratch around february

Well I downloaded it and we'll the ui is fantastic I like the themes especially the discord one but the 3D viewpoint needs some work like a lot Overall it's seems simple enough but I don't know if I can make a game with it at this stage It's a good engine but still needs some work
