Why did you replace 2 spark plugs? Usually when you rev or drive and engine shakes that would coil pack, injectors or plugs but in your case when you don’t accelerate 🤔 I think it could be throttle body but best if you get the car diagnosed again and ask them for the codes?

@@TajMotorMedics Yeah for sure. It was running ropey and struggled to maintain revs.

@@martinrobertson8752 if it’s good now after replacing plugs and coil, then the light just needs resetting. You can cheat it but I don’t recommend it, disconnect the battery for a min and reconnect it the light should turn off and if it’s still on then get it diagnosed by your local garage. Thanks 🙏🏽

Hi, have you replaced it with new coil pack?? And also replaced the spark plugs?? Usually if coil pack is a good make then it should last you a while.. Bosch/Delphi coil pack are usually really good and NGK spark plugs..

My 2011 corsa is on its 4th coil pack. Very common on these cars. I have been told that moisture gets in and corrodes the contacts. My car is parked in a damp place with little sun. Delphi coil packs last the longest. Easy job do it myself and the plugs now.

Same prob, had coil plugs fuel pump whole heap of things done while I could, lite still on, any amount of rpm over about 3000 it’s like a “limp home mode” on 3cyl, then found out that the particular dash lite is a “emissions lite” the little sensor that plugs screws into the exhaust header rite infront of radiator *for me... soon as did that lite went out and all good again, runs as used to..

If you got the same issue and the engine is misfiring then I would recommend you replace the plugs and coil.

I’ve spoken to my head mechanic and he said usually 4 things that would cause the engine to shake! 1- plugs 2- coil pack 3- injectors and 4- which we have encountered recently and that’s compression on one of the cylinders so you would need to do a compression test. Emission sensor wouldn’t cause the car to judder unless the cat is blocked so would I suggest you check the following. Thank you 🙏

Hi Salaam Naheed sorry for the late reply but if it’s a misfire then it should roughly cost £130 for everything. If you remove the top engine cover, you can then see the coil pack which should have the part number on it so search it on google and you’ll have options. If you got local car parts supplier give them the registration and ask for coil pack and spark plugs. Misfire on Vauxhall models are quite common so parts should always be available. Thanks 🙏🏽

@@naheedakhter3412 Hi Naheed first of all Eid Mubarak and 2nd with regards to engine being drop I wouldn’t worry because usually the Corsa engine do slightly tilt to one side but if you’re concerned take it to your local garage and ask them to check the engine mounts! With regards to starting could be few things I.e dirt in fuel filter, weak battery or (spark plugs which I assume when you had a misfire they must’vereplaced them) Thanks 😊 🙏🏽

Hi it needs to be plugged in to reset the light so you would need diagnostic tool! If you could take it to your local garage or you can buy diagnostic tool on eBay.

Or disconnect the battery for 30mins, but make sure you have the radio code if it's a vx one

Malcolm Pritchard sane prob, I’ve done coil and plugs fuel pump etc still on, however my manual tells me that specific lite is a emissions thing, or service needed

just done my Corsa D engine management light due to misfire on cylinder 1. Changed coil pack and erased the code with the U480 diagnostics tool from ebay at £9.95 all running fine no engine management warning light on.

Hi you can try push start your car and if it starts then you need a starter motor.

the starter has seized abot 70 quid fix

It could just be an intermittent fault so I wouldn’t worry about it for now but when the light comes back on take it to your local garage..

Hi with regards to heating fan you need to replace the blower resister which are usually between £60 to £120 and it’s a common fault on Vauxhall so dealers would have it in stock and with the misfire it needs to be diagnosed.

+Davidoff007 diagnostic can cost from £20+ plugs roughly £3each and coil pack £80+ for a decent make. All the prices above may vary.

I literally have the same issue with my corsa. My mechanic said he can’t see nothing wrong with my car soo it could be the computer picking minor errors

If the engine is running fine with no misfire then it might just be something minor but I would suggest you get it checked.

Same problem on my 1.6 astra turbo and it turned out to be a faulty injector... car idled rough and was very sluggish engine used to shake as well... changed the fuel rail and injectors and all was fine

Ayres just checked the code and it’s Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor/barometric pressure (BARO) sensor - range/performance problem
