VAX Platinum SmartWash carpet washer is the UK’s first carpet washer with motion sense technology that kills over 99% of bacteria trapped in your carpet fibres that can cause bad smells. It automatically dispenses the correct mix of clean water and solution when you push forward to wash, and dries when you pull back.

My first impression of the carpet washer is that it looks very stylish and lightweight (8.6kg) which I can lift with one hand! Your carpet is brandnew looking. We have a really really well warn carpet from previous owners amd currently this is our affordable option until we can afford new carpets. Really excoted to recoeve it.

I’ve just bought one and have to admit well pleased with its performance. Rather heavy to use and extremely noisy. I cleaned a corded fitted carpet that had never been cleaned in our new house and the room had been used as a workshop so the carpet was stained. literally with one cleaning the carpet came up like new and the dirty water tank was full of fine grit as well as really dirty water. I was amazed as all the stains had gone too. I wish they had included a longer hose for stairs. But overall I’m well pleased with the machine. Quite easy to clean by the way.

Sorry for the late reply. You have to press the trigger (below) to pump the water yourself and the vax will suck the water away. Unless the water tube on the hose is block. Maybe you have to change a hose. Are you using hard water? Maybe the limescale is blocking it.

I didnt used it on hard floor. this is design for carpet and not hard floor, hence you have water everywhere. If you want to wash hard floor, you should buy dry and wet vacuum cleaner.

Personally i have not try to put shampoo in the water. the machine only use a little of the anti bacterial solution each time. i think maybe you can put the shampoo via the dispenser at the back of the machine instead of the water tank.

my dog puked in early morning 3am. i did treat it. it still have stain cos it was so brown. anyway i used the machine in the late morning. the stain is gone. i dont know about old stain. but they always said it is best to clean as much as possible before using the machine.

@@ETSpeaksFromHome Thanks for the tip. Around the same time, I saw another video where a carpet had a dark eyeliner stain. They eventually got it out, but only after going at it for so long, I thought they'd take the carpet up with it! :) However, it looks like it'll be good for giving carpets a refresh.

@@DVDfeverGames yeah. i did have to go forward and backward 5 times. took longer to dry too even i used the drying mode. my husband did said carpet feel plump n fluffy. im not much feeling it, maybe im so heavy than him. so cant feel it.

@@ninam3255 I’m so sorry! Yes, it can be removed! I didn’t realised that after removing the solution bottle, there is a silver button to push to remove the handle! Hurray! Now I can store it better! Just removed the solution bottle to reveal the small sliver button, use a pen and poke it. The handle will come off!

Thank you. Would you be able to let me know how much solution is used please? E.g. if the solution tank is filled, how many clean water tanks full will that do? Many thanks.

quite a lot. one sixth or eighth of the solution of the filled tank will do living room and 2 bedrooms for one time. so, about six to eight times for a tank filled. my house is very small thou.

Hi Eileen, now you have owned the Vax Platinum Smart Wash for a few months. Would you say it was still good? I have bought a Vax Smart Wash, and after seeing a slightly negative review on another channel, I debated whether to send it back or not.

i like it! i just use it every few weeks as it is easy to clean and pack away. im not sure what negative other people think. maybe their carpets are very stain and it wont get rid of it??? i only have my carpet for two years and not stain hence i cant give much feedback.

@@ETSpeaksFromHome I have one and you're right about the attachment, it is extremely hard to take it off the hose. In fact I'm still struggling to get it off..
