This is an official Gypsy hymn. She heard it first time as a litle girl in a film. It was our, Yugoslav film, The Feather Gatherers and it won a few most significant awards. It was especially well received in France. The actress and singer in the film, Olivera Katarina, was offered one year engagement in Paris' Olympia which she accepted. I was 24 when Vaya Con Dios first came to Belgrade(the capital of former Yugoslavia, now Serbia) and was lucky to find a ticket for the concert! The hall was full packed. Me standindg close to the stage, it was an unforgettable expirience!
