This Excel VBA Tutorial explains VBA Code to Get Folder Path and File Path using File Dialog Box. This VBA Code will explain how to browse folder or file and then capture path of selected file or folder in a cell or message box. So, this VBA Code will work as macro for file picker and folder picker.

I used this same snippet of code for something I am working on for MS Access. Thanks for your simple instructions! I spent about 3 hours searching the web and looking through forums being told it wasn't possible or difficult to do, and here you have explained it in depth in just a few minutes! Very Helpful video was getting an error with Application.GetOpenfile method works in one machine and not in other machine (Might be excel compatibility issues) on file picker and on Click of cancel button prints "False" value in Textbox. This Video helped me a lot to use both for my customization on File picker and folder picker. Thank you!

Hi Great video. I have a question. Is it possible instead of a predefined directory and range, the user gets to select where the folders would be created and the folders themselves would be based on the cells the user selected? more of a dynamic code.
