He's getting paid to promote these things by tool companies. He's getting paid by youtube and these tools companies probably 10's of thousands of dollars from youtube and 10s of thousands from tool companies and with his construction company he's probably making 1,000,000$ USD per year easy. What are you doing? Watching Johnny Bravo? A show from the late 1990s and early 2000s? Probably because you peaked in Middle School, not high school, high school would be giving you too much credit, but Middle School, working a job that probably pays you $80,000 a year and you think to yourself... it's enough, $80,000 is all you need, Vince probably makes $80,000 a week... just to put that into perspective... so yea... don't know why he would even need to ever use a power tool, he can just hired a guy like you to do what he wants, and it's cheaper to hire someone so he can make more videos that makes him Millions of Dollars.

That’s a dumb thing to say. 5s are not obsolete. I have 4 6s and 3 5s and my 5s are my go to everyday batteries. The 6 is huge and heavy compared to the 5 and for most applications the 5 is way more than enough power and runtime. It’s a pain lugging around those 6s most of the time. I do however love the 3 HO. My 2s almost never get used anymore. Besides I’ve never “invested” in a battery. Why would anyone buy most battery outright? Only battery out of 16 I’ve bought was my 2 3s. They come with tools and it’s a no brainer to get a tool and battery for a few bucks more than a battery alone.
@salg500
@salg500 Жыл бұрын
Dude what? The 6.0 isn't a huge difference than the 5.0 lmao the 5.0 in certain tools is**** the inferior choice in battery pack. It's been proven many times before dude. Also, what "most applications" are you talking about? The m18 fuel platform is marketed towards trades. I'm an electrician and I'm ALWAYS going to My H.O. batteries. I leave my 5.0s for my 175w portable charger and that's it. I run high outputs in everything as much as I can
@strizzy239
@strizzy239 Жыл бұрын
@@salg500 i guarantee you you could do all the work you do just fine with the 5. It’s really not a huge difference in performance. A little yes, only in some tools. It’s more about cooling in high draw tools. And yes there is a big weight and size difference. It may not seem like a lot being 1 1/4 longer, 1/2” taller, and 1/2” wider, but on something that’s only 5” long, that’s 25% bigger. That’s a big difference. The 5.0 weighs 1.6 lbs. the 6.0 weighs 2.3. Again doesn’t sound like a lot but is damn near a pound heavier on an item that weighs just over a pound and a half. That’s a big fuckin difference. Basically 75% heavier. All for what in tools that don’t need it? The high output 3s are my favorite batteries but i don’t reach for my 6s as often and find myself grabbing 5s over them in many of my tools because it makes absolutely no difference other than being bigger and heavier and gets the job done literally just the same. I’ve actually had plenty of situations where with a 6.0 on the tool, i couldnt fit it in tight areas or angles and the 5 went right in. As much as i like the 3.0s (6.0s included), using the new gen 4 impact with even a 2” bit, the battery sticks out past the bit lol that can cause problems and i have no clue why they didn’t put the extra length in the ass end instead. Using my grinder, circ saw, etc i don’t use anything else but the 6.0s. The weight balances the tool better and being high draw, the battery stays cooler, has better runtime, and more power only if the tool is actually calling for more power. Lighter duty work makes no difference. I try not to push so hard I’m bogging my grinder down anyway so if i wanted to use a 5, it would cut just the same. Trust me, i like the high outputs, but i believe it’s a really dumb thing to say 5s are obsolete.

Or just buy whatever is on sale cuz all the batteries are crazy expensive...... EXCEPT the 9's and 12's. Tldr they slowly lose charge capacity. Avoid them. Non tldr: There is something wrong with them. (My cousin) bought two 9's and both slowly reduced the maximum amount they would charge. Replaced them under warranty when they would only charge half way. Both replacements and the 12 he bought a couple years ago have done the same thing. Currently our brand new 6 runs the grinder for longer than the 12 when it says it's fully charged (right now it stops at 3 bars). The 5s have been great. You don't need anything more for the drills and drivers cuz the next 5 charges before you can get done with the one on the tool. Have not owned a 6 or 8 long enough to know if they will have the same issue as the 9 and 12.

All the 5.0s, 2.0s and 2.5s? (I think those exist but I’ve never bought any) are great for the majority of your impact drivers, drills, and the nail guns provided you’re not driving or drilling huge fasteners or huge holes through tough material. Man I had those glasses with the gasket but had to return them cause they didn’t fit my face and that defeats the purpose of the gasket. They clearly don’t fit his face so he should probably take them off.

Sad to say, but I am done with Milwaukee. The batteries and the tools are both overpriced and the batteries do not last.

Are they better than dewalt? I was thinking of changing over completely over the next few years. I hear they are better but now I’m seeing that there batteries suck. My dewalt flex volt batteries still going strong since the day 1 releases

@@jzuniga633 most Milwaukee owners don’t get bad batteries . I’m sure if you took a survey asked 1000 Dewalt and 1000 Milwaukee guys you would get a few of each saying they got a bad battery . I’ve had a bad flex volt battery out of the box once . I have a m12 battery that won’t charge fully. Milwaukee batteries have a great warranty 3 yrs send it E service free postage and usually under a 2 week turn around door step to door step.

@@jzuniga633 I would stick with what you have, because it is such a big expense to change. I will say thou I received a Metabo drill set for Christmas, and I am liking it.

Investing in just batteries?? Wait till they put a kit on sale and get tools also. I bought my M12 Hackzall, but had no 12v batteries, so I bought a $135 6ah battery. Recently, I bought the M12 Gen 3 Impact and Hammer Drill kit with a 4ah and 2ah battery for 240$ out the door. Granted it was a 6ah battery, but many kits/tool packages are a much better buy.

This is hilariously stupid. Calling a battery obsolete because it has 20% less capacity than the new version.

Right!! And at a cost of 25% bigger and 75% heavier. 5s are still great batteries for size vs runtime and power. Not to mention much cheaper too.

Yep, send all of your 5.0s to me! I will take on the burden of their uselessness so you can be free to get 6.0s. 😂 I will agree to disagree with you on this Vince. You might get some more pop with the 6.0 but it’s also a thicc boy which makes hand tools a bit more cumbersome. I’ll use a 6 in my ope though! Most everything else still runs well on a 5

@@VCGConstruction I still have a bunch of the 5.0 & 9.0 from 5-7 years ago and yes it still works great but I use those mainly in my PACKOUT radio, angle grinder, drill and other tools that don’t need the HO batteries.
