We bring you the last episode of the Kodaikanal series, In this video, we will be exploring Vellagavi.
Our explorer visited Vellagavi which is at a distance of 12km from Kodaikanal and Tent camped in mist-covered hills. A village in the hills where nobody wears footwear! That is the attraction of Vellagavi near Kodaikanal. After you reach Vattakanal, our adventurous trek starts with a beautiful mountain view followed by Dolphin Nose. The route ahead is an incline covered with sharp and big stones which are flanked by massive trees. Murugan Anna(The tent organizer), welcomes us at the entrance of the village. The first sight that greets visitors at Vellagavi is a temple, beyond which nobody should use any form of footwear. Every face in the village greets visitors with a smile. On Sundays, the entire area resonates with the sound of kids playing who are shy to cameras. Having a history of 400 years, Vellagavi is older than Kodaikanal and is hidden between big mountains and lush forests. Murugan Anna then takes us to the tent camping spot, where on the way, he explains about the village and also showed his house, which was simple and beautiful. This place is for adventure lovers who want to spend a day in peace, resting with nature. Saying that we can expect low mobile signals from Airtel and Jio and none from other providers. Entering the camp, the explorer was able to feel the peaceful vibe around the place. Our explorer spent his time, peacefully enjoying nature, separated from all disturbance. He was goofing around with Murugan anna's kids for some time after which he had lunch followed by dinner. We never explored an unknown place like this, it had a beauty of its own. Explore spent the night finding himself filled with thoughts, peace, forest, and mountains. The night was the most beautiful of all, big towns sparkling a firefly, lighting, and thunder pouring down, it was just mesmerizing. Our explore woke up to an amazing view and then had his breakfast and started his return journey between the mountains filled with mist. Altogether, every adventure lover must go here.
