Performed by: Thomas Kobialka Here is something I've been working on lately. Chopin Competition-worthy it is perhaps not, but it does make you feel like Cziffra for 3 minutes...at least partly. Enjoy!

Could you give an estimate of how difficult this is? What pieces would you compare it to in terms of difficulty, or, if possible, what Henle level would you estimate it as?

Thats very difficult transcription. You can compare it to another transcriptions by Cziffra ( hungarian dance no5 for example). You need great octave and passage technique to even play this and much more to play this good. Also voicing can be difficult for some people, but in my opinion you will achieve this voicing automaticly. In terms of Henle level I will give 11 out of 9 to this piece. Cziffra was a technical monster and you can see it in his transcriptions and crazy cadenzas of another pieces. Listen to Cziffra's own recording of that piece and you will see what I mean. Sorry for my english and greetings from Poland!

@@jakubbanas4647 I've actually just begun to learn to play this, and, frankly, I disagree. It's certainly hard, that's for sure, but some of his other transcriptions (like Hungarian dance no. 5) seem way more difficult. I would now probably estimate somewhere around a henle 8 for the publicly available transcription

@@Coby-K . I also started to reading thia piece, and now I can agree with you. HD5 is also not that difficult (i learned it few days ago). The really difficult transcriptions are that of Korsakov's filght of the bumblebee or from another pianist the transcription of turkish march done by Volodos. Henele 8 is in my opinion god level for HD5 in my opinion that piece is even 7 or 7.5(something like that). But in my opinion this Valse is really beautiful and amazing to play, because you can actually fell a little bit like Cziffra himself :). Hope you will play it beautiflully and not only with technique but also with such a passion because music itself is such a miracle

Uuuh? You know some of the mahler symphony where copyrighted thanks to The Not Clean Teeth CEO

does not fit this piece, but why are some videos with Mahler symphonies not playing anymore?
@@tomekkobialka Would it be possible to have them up again? The only recording of Mahler 2 I really like is Bernstein’s, and I love reading the score alongside.

@@VincentGiza-Composer I've long stopped keeping track of which videos are getting blocked and unblocked etc. I don't see it as my job to bypass the KZfaq algorithm. At the same time, it's not like I haven't tried to understand it. But the long and short of it is that it is frustratingly unpredictable. Why is it, for example, that my Siegfried and Gotterdammerung videos are currently down, but not Die Walkure or Das Rheingold, despite them all coming from the same Solti set? I could give countless other examples. But I think we all know that the algorithm isn't perfect. I've ultimately decided against chasing after blocked videos, as I usually end up running in circles. Besides, blocked videos often re-appear after some time. Until then, people are more than welcome to try uploading their own versions. (Frankly, this whole algorithm business is part of the reason why I've shifted more towards original content.)
